Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problems of the 2005 Buick Rendezvous

Wheel bearings on a 3 year old vehicle failed on the right side. After a $300+ repair bill, now the left side has the same problem. A pretty new vehicle is dangerous to drive.

All wheel drive disabled warning and abs light came on. Also loss of power while going up hill. Internet states problem is probably caused by wheel bearings. 2002 to 2004 are covered with extended warranty. 2005 is not.

Front wheel bearings on 2004-2005 Buick Rendezvous fail at 50-60,000 miles. This is a common repair item if you talk with auto repair shops and dealers. One local repair shop repaired 6 vehicles the same week - all with front wheel bearing failure.

Both front wheel bearings had to be replaced with only 52,000 miles on the vehicle. This component failure was extremely premature and indicates a defect in the wheel bearings. Another compliant to NHTSA listed the same problem on a vehicle with only 43,000 miles.

I had to have both front wheel bearings replaced at 43,000 miles. I did extensive research and have found this to be a common problem with this vehicle. It seems unreasonable to have to spend almost $800 to replace bearings which should last at least 100,000 miles.
