Car caught fire for unknown reasons the dealer said. Started the car heard noise before pulling off open the hood and the car was on fire.
I have a 2004 Buick Rendezvous and after running it, it does not always restart. It has also stalled at intersections when idling. No one can pin point a specific problem but after it sits awhile it restarts. Sometimes I have to sit for an hour to get my car started. A gm mechanic said there was a recall on a fuse, but there was not change made to the fuses so the issue was not corrected. Others have said it was the fuel pump, but then others say if it is the fuel pump it would have gone completely bad by now. This has been going on since 2008 when I bought the car used from a dealer.
Rear differential /torque tube defect. Vehicle taken to gm dealership to check whining, roaring and clunking noise. Garage indicated no problem with vehicle. Noises continued and got worse. Vehicle taken back to garage several times to no avail. Finally vehicle was taken to another garage to determine problem. Problem found and both gm dealership garage and the certified garage that fixed the problem indicated a defect in the rear differential with potential of locking up wheels while driving, causing the wheels to skid with the potential of causing an accident.
My 2005 Buick Rendezvous would periodically stall in turns or at red lights. 1 instance it wouldn’t start again and it had to be towed to a Buick dealership. They said they fixed the problem with a new battery. After that it would still stall at lights and intersections. I told various mechanics about this problem. They would look into it and never found a problem. I even had my fuel filter changed etc. Well, on January 21 2011, I was making a routine left hand turn into work across 2 lanes of traffic when my car stalled. . . It wouldn’t pick up and go. I was then hit hard on the passenger side totaling out my vehicle and resulting in minor injuries on both parties.
The window regulator broke and caused the window to drop into the door panel. The regulator, window clips and window regulator motor had to be replaced. Buick refused to honor the warranty on these parts. As a result, I paid $200 for the repair.
2003 Buick Rendezvous license plate color grey. Vehicle parked illegally at gale place and vancortland park south at pedestrian crossway.
Power window clips break or crack then window falls down and won't work. I have complained repeatedly about the grease stripes on windows and have been told the problem is universal with all Rendezvous. Not covered on warranty or extended warranty.
I purchased a new 2005 Buick Rendezvous cxl and have had to replace the front left bearing and hub assembly in July 2008, then in April 2009 the right front control arm bushing separated and the dealer replaced the hub assembly again, then in sept. 2010 the bushings and front control arm on the front left side needed to be replaced again. I also had to have the throttle body replaced because of exceleration problems. So far no one has been hurt or any accidents, but how long and how many bearings and bushings and assemblys do I need to replace before a recall is issued?.
A/c condenser failure (leak from crack), failure disables the a/c unit, dealer indicates it is a $1000 repair. Vehicle is 2002 Buick Rendezvous with just under 50k miles.
To new to be having this many problems.
2002 Buick Rendezvous very low passenger heat, trouble defrosting windsheild. Car taken in to dobles Buick in manchester, nh three times then tulley Buick of nashua, nh. Informed, will not put out more heat. Driving in cold weather a blanket is used. Some times turning left or right a blast of hot air comes out of vents. More hot air comes out of top vents than floor vents. Both dealers tested car and informed it was working to factory specs. We have asked to have the Buick area representive contact us on this matter. This car purchased new 12-20-2002 , currently has about 1600 miles. Dealer said wait until the weather got warmer and it would not be an issue. Have contacted Buick @ 1-800-521-7300 assigned case 1-66914926 and doretha holder, this was 1-24-2003 @ 1-866-952-4368 x58900 she has failed to respond to our phone calls. Called main number again now talking to elisa ortiz @ 1-866-942-4368 x48335 she said she would take over the case. The car is not enjoyable to drive is a hazard as the passenger compartment does not get adequate heat for defrosting windows and heat the passengers. I told dobles that we would claim it under a lemon law they informed us that being they do not find a problem that our case would be weak and would perhaps be thrown out. Every person that has been in this car in the cold weather complains it is too cold. Can not feel safe in car in cold freezing weather as the windows ice up. Our family owns chev 2001 silverado, a 1997 chev conversion van, 1997 cady- catera . All of the other cars will provide enough heat for defrost and passengers. This will not. Is the burden of proof on us because the factory says it is normal? we initially liked the car and all we asked is for a resolution to our problem. I have taken car to an independent service station and they said Buick should look at connections in the "air connection box".
