Engine Cooling System problems of the 1996 Buick Roadmaster

Four problems related to engine cooling system have been reported for the 1996 Buick Roadmaster. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 02/01/1999

While driving steering controls of the vehicle will lock up. Water pump leaks on to the belt while driving at low speed and when making a sharp turn . Belt slips, and locks up power steering.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 01/27/1999

Due to defective water pump which leaked and sprayed unto the power steering belt, power steering became inoperative and almost resulted in a loss of control.

3 Engine Cooling System problem

Coolant leaks from the bottom of the water pump onto vibration damper and power steering belt, causing loss of control. Please give any further details.

4 Engine Cooling System problem

Water pump replaced. Yh mjs.
