Front Seat Recliner Problems of Buick Skylark

Buick Skylark owners have reported 3 problems related to front seat recliner (under the seats category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Recliner problem of the 1996 Buick Skylark

Failure Date: 06/08/1999

I was involved in a rear collision with a 96 Buick Skylark which was struck from behind while at a complete stop, yielding traffic at a traffic circle. The car that struck me was at a relatively high rate of speed. The impact caused both the passenger and driver seats to collapse. Both seats did not retain an upright position and were partially reclined from the accident. I am concerned that this could be a defect of the seats as the seats should not have reclined and may have contributed to the muscular injuries suffered by myself and the passenger.

2 Front Seat Recliner problem of the 1997 Buick Skylark

Failure Date: 12/22/1998

Driver side seat won't lock in position, and the seat moves back and forward, causing the consumer to rock from side to side, and the latch isn't in position.

3 Front Seat Recliner problem of the 1997 Buick Skylark

Vehicle is too big; mirrors are not adjustable enough to see other vehicles, and seatbacks are too high to see over.
