2 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Buick Terraza. The contact was driving 45 mph when both rear passenger doors opened intermittently. The failure occurred on four previous occasions. The doors will only close when they are locked, but the car alarm sounds, while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired, and the VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 50,000.

3 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2009

Door locks will not unlock, they just click. Was able to jimmy front doors but then they would not lock. Had baby been in back seats there was no way to get them out without someone very small climbing over the front seat into the far back, very dangerous. On star could not remote open vehicle either. Drove to dealership and discovered the remote fob thought it was locking the car and started it. Dealership says they have never seen this happen before.

4 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2009

Power sliding doors in the rear fail to close on a repeated basis, often having to try and close them 10 to 12 times. After reading about this known issue and how others vehicle owners have reported the door(s) opening on their own while driving, I felt I needed to report my malfunction with the door sensors.

5 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2008

The driver's side power sliding door constantly would lock and unlock while driving. It would also not shut and emit a warning bell even when nothing was obstructing the door. I was told it would cost over $1000 to replace the sensor and that might not even fix it. I finally had the dealer disconnect the automatic door. So we now open and close it manually. This is a safety issue, since the lock/unlock would occur when in drive and due to the number of complaints something needs to be done.

6 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2008

2005 Buick terazza rear passenger sliding door will not close or stay closed. When closed, an alarm sounds continuously. Have had this issue serviced by Buick for over three years. Buick has replaced some of the parts, but it continues to happen. The problem still exists today.
