The driver's side sliding rear door on my 2005 Buick Terraza becomes loose and opens while driving. The door is locked when I start driving, but then becomes unlocked and I receive a warning that the passenger door is unlocked. If I am not able to pull over immediately to close the door it will come open because of the air load or the g forces while turning. This location happens to be where we have one of our car seats for our four children.

The contact owns a 2007 Buick Terraza. The contact stated that the vehicle's automatic sliding doors have been repaired seven times. The doors open erratically and will open when the vehicle is locked. They will also come open while she is driving. The dealer has replaced motors, sensors and other items and the failure is still present. This failure is present on the driver's side and passenger's side. The contact drives her grand children in the vehicle and is concerned about the doors opening when the children are in the vehicle. The owner wants gm to buy the vehicle back, but they will not. The power sliding doors on the Buick terazza van continually reopen when they are closed. This is a security issue as on more than one occasion the door has opened as we walked away from the van on a parking lot. The service department claimed they cleaned the contacts and there was nothing wrong with the operation of the doors. This problem of the doors reopening still exists.
