2 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 09/05/2010

Rear sliding doors will not remain closed, then open while driving and continue to alarm when closed. I've taken it in for repairs three times on both doors, yet, now that my warranty is no longer in effect, I must pay out of pocket for an issue that is an obvious saftey issue gm is ignoring. My grandson's car seat sits by those doors, thank god he hasn't fallen out!!! I've googled and have seen hundreds of the same complaints ignored. Why is it somebody has to die before this problem is addressed?!??!?! . . . There are several incident dates!!!.

4 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 09/04/2010

The automatic doors will not close properly and at times just open up. If I am able to close the doors, the door alarm continues to sound and will do so for several hours. I have had it looked at by the dealership and have been told it is fixed several times. I bought this vehicle new and it has less than 30000 miles on it. This is an outrage and no one will stand behind the vehicle.

6 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 05/13/2010

I am having problems with the sliding doors, the passenger side sliding door would not close. After about and hour, got the door closed and now the door alarm stays on. Have an appointment to get it looked at. After reading all the other complaints about these doors, I think they should have a recall to fix the problem.

7 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2005 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 09/02/2009

Door locks will not unlock, they just click. Was able to jimmy front doors but then they would not lock. Had baby been in back seats there was no way to get them out without someone very small climbing over the front seat into the far back, very dangerous. On star could not remote open vehicle either. Drove to dealership and discovered the remote fob thought it was locking the car and started it. Dealership says they have never seen this happen before.

8 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2005 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 06/27/2009

Power sliding doors in the rear fail to close on a repeated basis, often having to try and close them 10 to 12 times. After reading about this known issue and how others vehicle owners have reported the door(s) opening on their own while driving, I felt I needed to report my malfunction with the door sensors.

9 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2007 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 11/01/2008

Purchased 2007 Buick teraza, both sliding doors have had ongoing issues. The vehicle has been in for repair multiple times per door, at one point I was told by the repair technician, as I handed him pieces of the door mounting, that it is a good thing I didn't open it one more time as the door likely would have fallen off! I have returned to my vehicle numerous times to find one of the slidiing door mysteriously open. Due to ongoing nightmare of the doors opening I am careful to confirm the doors are closed and locked prior to leaving my vehicle, however they slide open on there own for no reason. The doors open mysteriously when the car is being driven, alarms ring signally doors are ajar when they are not, and/or fail to close with no confirmed obstruction. Once I am able to "close the door" and drive away the odds are 50/50 that the next bump I hit in the road that door will open. Leaving the choice to pull over in an unsafe location to correct or continue to a safe location and pray my child in the middle seat is safe.

10 Latches/locks/linkage problem of the 2005 Buick Terraza

Failure Date: 07/01/2008

The driver's side power sliding door constantly would lock and unlock while driving. It would also not shut and emit a warning bell even when nothing was obstructing the door. I was told it would cost over $1000 to replace the sensor and that might not even fix it. I finally had the dealer disconnect the automatic door. So we now open and close it manually. This is a safety issue, since the lock/unlock would occur when in drive and due to the number of complaints something needs to be done.
