Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Buick Verano. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 mph, I attempted to adjust the air vent and accidentally hit the push button starter switch. The entire vehicle shut off I had to pull over to the shoulder to restart the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage 11200. Am.
While driving on a suburban street, engine and electrical system shut down. There was no warning. I was driving about 30 mph, when engine turned itself off, dashboard went dark, turn signal did not work, and steering became more difficult. I drifted to the curb, and after a minute restarted the car with no problem; it has a push-button starter. Dealer can find nothing wrong with car. Dealer says it may be a small animal (a rat or squirrel) living in the car’s engine compartment at night, and chewing on electrical lines. Dealer cannot, however, find any damaged wires. When car was about 2 months old, had a similar incident when radio and “intellilink” system cut out without warning. When I pushed radio button, radio came back on and operated normally. We bought this car because of the safety features; now I am afraid to drive it on the freeway.
