1 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/04/2022

Vehicle started flashing multiple indicators on the dashboard, including those related to the charging system. Radio screen went off and then the power steering lost electrical boost while turning the steering wheel. Radio screen came back on its own but then it started cycling among its options (am, fm, bluetooth, etc) until settling in fm radio. Second occurrence was similar, although with different manifestations with the dashboard indicators although most concerning behavior dealt with the steering loosing boost almost causing an accident. Have reconnected the battery (changed about 4 months ago, currently showing 12. 38v) and retighten the connections to the poles. Retightened the cables going to ground (they were not loose).

2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 12/05/2021

The car stalls in traffic and the air conditioning will stop working and remote start doesn't work although I have paid for it to be fixed. You can just be driving along the car will stop and not start. It has stalled 6 times in mid traffic putting my life and my children's life in danger we almost was hit by other cars on the highway because the car stopped suddenly. I had the car towed to the shortline Buick GMC 1301 s havana st. Aurora, CO. 80012 because of this and they charged me $1000 and only change filters did not fix the car or the remote start. This on or around October 13, 2020.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2021

February 2021 electronic parking brake activated while vehicle moving without being activated. Vehicle slid to a stop. This is a major safety issue for both the driver and other vehicles on the road as the vehicle is braking on its own and locking the rear wheels. Service parking brake light illuminated. Vehicle was brought to jim curley Buick GMC in lakewood, NJ. Parking brake module was replaced at customer cost. October 2021 same issue reoccurred. Vehicle was brought again to jim curley. Dealer replaced parking brake module again. Issue reoccurred while in dealer possession. Dealer is now replacing all rear calipers, rotors, and pads at customer cost. Vehicle is a major safety risk as this issue causes the vehicle to unexpectedly brake and lock the rear wheels causing the driver to lose control.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/11/2019

When pulling up to park my car the release button on automatic stick shift popped out making it impossible to put in park. Would only stay in drive. Had to turn tires into street curb so car wouldn't roll away.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2017

The contact owned a 2014 Buick Verano. While attempting to place the vehicle in reverse, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to respond. As a result, the vehicle independently accelerated and caused both a front and rear end collision. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact's wife sustained injuries to the neck and arm that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an insurance lot and then later towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 400.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2016

I own a 2014 Buick Verano. I purchased this car in may 2015. I noticed an issue with it's breaking system on 1/20/2016. I was sitting at a stop light, applying the brakes with moderate pressure. Because it had been snowing earlier in the day, I suppose I was pressing down harder than normal. As I was sitting there, I noticed the brake pedal slowly moving to the floor. I pulled off the road and repeated the operation in a parking lot. Indeed, sitting still, with the car in park, the brake pedal continues to slowly move to a completely depressed position, resting on the floor. I scheduled an appointment with the dealership for 2/22/2016. The service manager told me that this was a known issue and was due to either the anti-lock braking system activation (while sitting motionless?), or the brake booster slowly losing vacuum (which would make the pedal rise from the floor instead of going towards it). The dealer said 'they checked out the brake system', (something I don't fully believe), and the braking system was completely normal. I insisted that the dealer bring another vehicle into the shop, and they complied. The newer Verano did exactly the same thing. I have not had an accident with this car, but I believe the design of the braking system is flawed. At an earlier point in my life, I did a considerable amount of maintenance to the vehicles I owned. I have never considered the situation with the Buick Verano brakes to be a normal condition. I ask that your engineers take a look at this situation and determine if it is safe, or not. I certainly do not feel safe.
