Tire went flat.
I was pulling into a parking place in a restaurant parking lot after turning off a city street. All of a sudden the car was lunging forward instead of stopping. It hit a steel fence cable which pushed it onto a metal fence post and stopped. The 4 side airbags opened up and the one by the driver had to be cut in order for me to get out. My thumb was jambed against the steering and later found to be broken. I was in shock and not sure what had happened or how. It may be that my foot slid off the brake without my realizing it, but I had the sensation of the car being taken out of my control. I am thinking something went wrong with the brakes but since the car was declared a total loss and not road driveable I was told there wasn't any way to test and verify that.
The car has continental tires on it . The front driver's side has a big bubble on the sidewall. If you research this problem you will see continental tires have a problem with their side walls.
Low profile tires: a rock hit my tire-tired destroyed-hit small hole approximately 4 in deep about 6 inches wide tire blew. Today wife backing up hit rounded corner tire blew. Continental tires low profile are unsafe. I do not trust them and dealers. Tell me they are changing tires by multiple times due to low profile. Tires are 235x45x 18 pro h . I believe they are a safety hazard .
Problem with the sidewalls of your low profile contiprocontact tires. These came equipped on my wife's 2015 Buick Verano as oem p235/45 r18. In the past 60 days, she has had 3 of these tires become damaged, go flat and have to be replaced due to damage to the sidewall. Additionally, my mother-in-law has also had to replace one of these tires on her 2015 Verano. My wife's tires had between 18,000 and 22,000 miles on them while my mother-in-law's had 7,500 miles. My wife's she is 61 is driving back and forth on the interstate to work and home about 50 miles per day. Of these 50 miles, 5 is not interstate and secondary surface roads. My mother-in-law is 83 and drives to church, doctor, and store. Neither are speeding, driving recklessly or causing more than normal wear and tear on these tires. Both vehicles are also garaged when not being driven. In each case, the sidewall was damaged at the exact same location and the damage was identical. A cut in the exact same place about an inch long at a 60-degree angle to the tread. With the first and second tires, I though my wife had possibly hit something. However, after the 4th, that is not possible for all four tires to have the same damage in the exact same place. Additionally, I have noticed on several Buick forums, a large number of owners with the same problem. I do not know if it is the cold weather or what, but something is wrong.
I was driving in kenwood in cincinnati pulled into go to starbucks barely hit the curb and my continental tire blew. I couldn't believe that it happened so easy. Actually looking back it was scary how the tire blew that easy. I took it back to the dealer where I had to pay 241. 00 OH and I haven't made my first car payment yet. Purchased the car on 11/29/2016.
Just recently purchased a 2013 Buick Verano with less than 15,000 miles on it. I've already had to replace two tires before hitting my two week mark. Each time I was driving 30mph and under each time a blow out occurred. Researched and found out that these continental tires have been not only been recalled but the continental procontact 235/45 18 have had many issues blowing out at moments notice. But not yet recalled along with previous continental tires. These tires need to be recalled again and taken off the market before a tragic injury occurres if it hasnt happened already.
Bought trade in from central Cadillac in cleveland, ohio. Yes, two year old car with 6500 miles? continental tire blew out, rear passenger side cost $220. 00 for replacement tire. Had planned to take car on vacation but after all listed complaints I am extremely concerned for passenger safety with these tires. I am a retired law enforcement officer so please beware!.
The contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano. The contact stated that the rear driver side rim blew a hole into the inner rim. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 11,000.
Traveling north on rt 1/granite street in westerly ri at 4:25pm Saturday March 28th. The driving lane between cumberland farms and mcdonald's, giant pot hole popped my tire. Pulled into the napa parking lot for tire change. Called westerly police and they recommended I contact dot for tire service.

From a stop start to accelerate into right turn right front wheel starts to wobble and tremors is felt in steering wheel. Wobble not felt in quick acceleration only in gradual acceleration. It has become progressively worse over the last 5000 miles. Took it to gm dealer. Say they could not feel problem. Took technician for a ride and duplicated problem several times. Technician s says he feels tremor does not know what is causing problem. The problem is definitely coming from right cv axle when power is initially applied to right wheel. Vehicle has been in shop four days no solution to problem.
Oem wheel blew out after brushing raise edge of road caused by a pothole. I have had two oem tires fail within the first year of purchase of new car. Searched internet and oem tire failure is common in 2013 Buick Verano continental contipro contact tires are listed in several places failing within 5000 of new.
At or around 10 to 15 mph from stop, I get a sway in right front tire. As I get up speed the sway is not felt.
Impacted road hazard that severely damaged the passenger side tires and wheels requiring full replacement. Had a second incident and replaced a third tire on the same side the following month. Have spoken to others who experienced the same problem with "low profile tires" which would be a design application by the oem's that in my opinion should be considered dangerous to the consumer. The low profile tire by design cannot withstand even the smallest road hazard and at high speeds have the potential to be life threatening to consumers. I believe they should be recalled.
This car has always had a rubbing or grinding sensation just after making a turn, at low speeds. It is subtle but definitely there. The dealer discounted my claim during the first service visit and said that it is normal. I don't know if this is associated with the steering issues that I have at higher speeds or not. This issue only happens just after making hard turns such as 90 degree turns from street to street. It does not occur when making curves.
I bought this Buick Verano with in 3000 miles a tire bubbled now im at 13000 miles 2 more tires have bubbled in two more tires is this a problem with the continental contipro contact tires.
From a stop, start to accelerate slowly into a right turn the steering wheel (or front right wheel) starts to vibrate or wobble. Vehicle now has 2000 miles and the problem is ongoing. The vibration can be felt in the drivers seat.
