2 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 05/26/2020

Making a left hand turn, wrench light came on, stabilitrak light came on, middle console went out and yanked the entire car to the right. Luckily both hands were on the wheel and no cars in the lane to the right, was able to keep the car in the lane barely. Stopped at the car wash, felt the car jump a bit. Drove another 3 minutes home and as I was backing into the my parking spot my middle console went out and came back on several times with approx 4 sec delays being off, cars power steering was off and on constantly, trying to turn the wheel to the left to pull forward a little the car kept jerking forward as I kept trying to turn left but the wheel kept acting like it was hitting a wall, the stabilitrak light kept flashing. Trying to turn it right and back up the middle console kept flashing and the wheel kept jerking. Finally got the car parked and the neighbor heard me on the phone and stepped out to ask if I was ok, when I was trying to park she heard a huge crash at that time and thought it was an accident of some sort. Today was the first day for all of this. The middle console has been flashing on and off for a few months and the stabilitrak light started coming on last weekend.

3 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2015 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 04/13/2020

Blind spot detection sensors become corroded due to being exposed to the environment. This is a faulty design and an expensive repair. Gm refuses to acknowledge the problem even though the system can fail at anytime without warning and cause an accident. When the sensors become corroded, they could also cause other problems with the electrical systems in the vehicle, though this has not happened to me yet. I've two[2] sensors fail while the car was under warranty, and now the 3rd one have failed, while the car is out of warranty. Big dollar fix the Buick is cleaning up on.

4 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2015 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 03/21/2020

Chevy cruze service side detection module was recalled. Buick Verano uses the same part. My Buick showed service side detection. The design allows water and salt to interfere with the performance. It shut down my car. Enabled my antilock theft system and all voltage systems shut down. The car proceeded to drive erratically. I was advised online by a Buick mechanic to unplug the device. My car is drivable again. This is a safety issue. I paid extra for the blind spot detector. Even if I replace it the design will allow it to happen again. It is not protected where it is located and it sends voltage error codes off(all voltage codes) service airbags, service everything. I have pictures as proof. Proof of the conversation advising me to disconnect it and a read out from a local gm dealer showing every voltage code failure.

5 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 02/08/2020

The side detection monitor kept saying needed to be service, then it progressed to it not turning off, and now all of the gauges on my dashboard states that it needs to be serviced: airbag, theft deterrent system, and the tire monitor system. In addition the heat will turn on and off and so is the radio.

6 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 10/19/2019

I've only had the vehicle a year some change. Parking break light comes when I turn the car off and goes away once I put it drive or reverse. Power steering locks on me when turning especially on the highway which is so dangerous. Also so many electrical problems with the computer in the vehicle that cause the door to lock and unlock on its own when I try to put on my fog lights the engine may rev up.

7 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2015 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 08/10/2019

I purchased my Buick Verano on 12/29/2017. During the first while driving my eletrical system just shut down about 2-3 times. In the second year it started happening more often while making a turn or just going aroun another vehicle. From July to August the electrical system shut down about 5 times in about a 5 week span which made it very hard to steer the vehicle and all of the radio screen shut down also. This issue has me worried because at high speeds if this happens it will be very hard to control the vehicle. I have noticed that this is a common problem with this vehicle. Has the car dealers acknowledge this issue and what do they recommend to do?.

9 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 04/01/2019

A warning that says "service stabili trak" appears at the same time it feels like someone is grabbing the steering wheel. The control screen where the radio is blacks out completely also. It lasts from a split second to several seconds but it renders the driver helpless to control the vehicle. This happens while driving straight, turning, brightening headlights, using electronic window buttons. . . Or just while driving and using nothing else. I have taken it twice to the dealership where I bought it and they say that they have updated modules and changed the power steering motor but it seems to be worse not than before.

11 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2015 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 10/11/2018

Certain systems of my car while I am driving will shut down. For example I will be taking a turn and the power steering will go out. Other things that seem to shut down either at the same time or separately are the radio/ screen, the cruise control, blinker, ect. This has been an issue especially when I am turning and the power steering goes out. I looked online to see what may be the problem and noticed plenty of other people have had these issues as well with no one being able to find a solution.

12 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2012 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 10/05/2018

I was never warned about my car not having oil. The oil indicator light never came on that I needed to get oil soon. My car was making a lot of noise when I was putting my foot on the gas. My car always locks up on me as if I don't have my keys when I pull up in front of the 7/11 store near my house. Key not detected comes on. I was able to drive my car without having the key with me. None of the signals to inform me that I needed oil, brakes etc. . .

13 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 08/25/2018

I was driving down the road and the vehicle went totally dead with no warning.

14 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2016 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 08/15/2018

Beginning in may, I started noticing odd declines in accelerations, randomly, even when using cruise control. Then, I almost stalled out on the road & lost power steering. This is dangerous & scary. I took it to the dealership & reported a hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear and my radio shutting off randomly, too. After looking over my car, I was told they could not replicate the issue of losing power, and that they needed a code or an error message & to bring it back when I had that! I guess, it's ok with gm if I'm in an accident (or die) in the meantime, & I was told that the hard shift is just how the car runs. These answers are unacceptable. If a car is dangerous, you don't send a person back out on the road because you can't replicate the issue. Furthermore, a serious hard shift between 1st and 2nd gear is not how a car is made. I believe these are canned statements that are used and taught in hopes that the owner will go awaywhich I did, but shouldn't have. Then in August my car stalled out twice & I lost power steering and could have been in a serious accident. But now, things are even worse. My radio has cut off again, the hard shift is more obvious, and now my passenger seat says there is someone there when they are not, so it beeps at me. The car is possessed. There is no was it should have this many problems at one time. It seems electrical. Dealership has had it for two weeks. I had a message this time; stabilitrak needs serviced. They again said "can't replicate it", but I was not allowing that answer this time. The car is dangerous. Gm has been sued over very similar issue & some are reporting their fix isn't working & still lose power on the highway. Other 2016 gm cars have this issue. I am researching this & it obvious gm has an on-going dangerous issue & is ignoring it again. How many people have to die? NHTSA help!.

15 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2016 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 08/11/2018

The intake cam solenoid value failed without any warning. No light came on to warn me. The car would not accelerate and almost completely stop. I was entering a very usy interstate I - 20 and the car was stalling as other cars were speeding behind me. I could not accelerate at a safe speed. I made it to an exit. The car shut off . I put gas in because I was on a half tank. I thought it was gas related. I tried to leave the gas station the car cut off again. I had the car tolled to the dealership. I was told they didn't know why that happened. This was very dangerous to me with no warning that something was wrong. I could have been injured. Please explain to me what happen. I consider this a major safety issue. The vehicle was in motion on an interstate and stationary trying to go from a gas station.

16 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 08/03/2018

The radio turns off and on, a stabilitrak warning sometimes comes on, the vehicle loses power and the car turns off which then locks the steering and then the car will turn back on by itself. This happens intermittently when driving in town, on the highway, turning, at any speed, regardless of whether the gas tank is full/low, with and without any accessories plugged in, and regardless of the outside temperature. This issue makes the car very unsafe to drive and it is scary when this happens. First occurrence was 8/3/18.

17 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2016 Buick Verano

21 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Buick Verano

Failure Date: 10/25/2017

Purchased this vehicle January 2015. At this time I now have 73000 miles on it. While driving the wrench and lightening bolt flashes on and off really fast multiple times and the car began to jerk. It only lasts a few seconds but now it keeps doing it and im scared it will cause an accident. I took it to my local Buick dealership and they said no codes were found, but my battery test failed so I paid for a battery replacement. However the battery that was replaced was only a year old! even with the battery replaced it still happens and we cannot figure out why. What would cause a battery to fail in a years time? what would cause that specific light to flicker and the car began jerking. No codes are showing up on their system so they cannot figure out why it is happening. And of course it doesn't happen when they drive it for a bit, but it happens when I drive so they cannot see what it is doing.

Failure Date: 06/28/2015

I brought my car to the dealer 6/29/2015, a rear side sensor had gotten wet and shorted out a fuse. This is a known manufacturing safety defect, but since I'm 3000 miles past warranty they are going to charge me $1300. 00 to repair.
