| Tire Bead problems | |
| Tire Tread/belt problems |
Two tires blewup on the freeway 275 at the sametime. I heard the same complaint from my friend who happens to have the same car 2013 Cadillac Ats who had blown up tires for almost 5-6 times. Please check with Cadillac dealers records that how many cars have been brought in for this specific tire issues. Tire size: "225/40r18/92v".
These "runflat" tires have had some impacts from potholes. I have had 4 of them fail beginning with the cited units. Typically, the sidewall begins to bulge and then a crack appears some time later about 4 inches long extending well into the tire about an inch away from the bead. The cord is exposed.
The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Ats. The vehicle was equipped with michelin primacy mxm4 (na), size: 225/40/r18 (na). While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that the tread separated around the sidewall of the front passenger side tire. The contact also noticed a bubble at the site of the separation. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the tire needed to be replaced. The tire was replaced; however, the failure recurred on the front driver side tire. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The dot number was unknown. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 28,000.
