general problems of the 2014 Cadillac ATS

The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Ats. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph, the "power steering fault drive with care" message was displayed on the instrument panel and the vehicle became difficult to maneuver. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The contact researched and was became aware of an undisclosed recall; however, the VIN was not included. A dealer was not contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 172,000.

What are the cooling hoses that carry coolant from the engine to the radiator busted not once but twice. It has many electrical problems even when cleared with an obd2 sensor they will still come on. The power steering is completely off and malfunctions.

Power steering locks up when trying to turn under 20 mph. Have found other safety recalls through gm for the same issue on the 2014 Ats and have contacted a dealer but they have stated it is not for my VIN #. Has happened multiple times before and the local dealer said nothing could be done because they could not duplicate. I had called another gm dealer and they sent me a safety recall bulletin pertaining to the issue.

The car just blew out the airbags and the steering locked up.

Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Ats. The contact stated that there was a loss of power steering and that there was no warning indicator when the failure happened. The dealer camargo Cadillac, 9880 montgomery rd, cincinnati, OH 45242, 1-513-716-5963 indicated that an appointment would need to be scheduled for further testing and diagnosis to determine if the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 18v586000 (steering) however the vehicle exhibited the same condition as the recall campaign. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.

The car fails to audibly indicate to the driver that the turning signals have been engaged. Instead of a click, chime, or other indicator, there is silence. The result is that the driver does not have feedback from the vehicle indicating / verifying that that a turn signal has been engaged. The driver may become distracted and may not know when/if a turn signal has been triggered. The turn signal indicator seems to be connected to the radio system. Thus, when the radio system faults (which often occurs on this model), these turn signal indicators also fail. The failure will occur randomly when stationary and driving at surface and highway speeds.

Upper and lower control arm bushings steering knuckle defective from factory and blown piston number 1 at 6350 miles and many recalls.

Vehicle wanders at highway speeds, very hard to keep on road. Very unsafe to drive on highway, therefore it is only used in city at low speeds. After 11 months it has less than 3,000 km on it. Dealer says they can't do anything about it, it is because of the electric steering. According to them, all these models behave in the same way and for me to monitor it. I have monitored it and if anything it is getting worse. If I don't get any help from the dealer I will have to take it to a wheel alignment specialist, at my cost, even if it still under warranty. Any suggestions?.

Vehicle wanders at highway speeds on level roads, can't keep it in a straight line. Dealer refuses to rectify, says that it is normal, since their other models are the same. It is a dangerous situation since you are afraid to blink and may end up in another lane of traffic. Just using it for city traffic now. Current odometer reading 1,600 km since new in February 2014. How safe is the electric steering?.
