Power steering just went out on the vehicle. We started the vehicle today with 73,000 miles and when we went to pull off once in drive the car gave a power steering warning appeared. When we try to turn the steering wheel it makes this loud squealing computerized sounding noise.
When I was driving on the highway my car started to move like it was going to quit on me, I get my car serviced frequently and have replaced the sparkplugs and coil, changed all the gaskets, and I almost got into an accident because the stabilititrack light came on and car did not want to work as it should. This is the second time this has happened.
The fuel level gauge drops to e. The touch screen display does not work at times you have to turn off the car to get it to work.
Cadillac Ats lost power and shut off while driving causing lose of control as well as right control arm snapping in half. Driver then hit ditch and then a tree cause damage to front of the car and injury to drive.
I turned a corner, drove through some sand on the road and broke traction. After that, the traction control system lights came on and within several seconds the check engine light came on. I had onstar service run remote diagnostics and they found abs failing and a cylinder misfire. The car took an immediate loss in power and started to shake at all power levels.
Cadillac Ats 2013 continues to stall and turn off causing loss of steering of vehicle. This has been in the shop 4 times for repair, and vehicle has still been stalling.
I was involved in a car crash on 8-11-14. My husband brought my a 2014 Cadillac Ats for my birthday. A few months after ownership I noticed that when it rained the car would hydroplane but the stablitrack would make the vehicle jump back into it's lane. My husband thought I was being a brat, so I told him to drive the car. He took the car for a test drive and less than minutes into his test drive he said, “call the dealership and get these damn tires off this car now” ! I called the dealership (lafontaine) and left a message with xxxx xxxx and explained the problems with the tires and to switch to regular tires not the runflat tires. She never called me back. A few days later, my daughter and I crashed. The car hydroplaned and lost control we hit two tress and took down a one way sign. My daughter and I suffered horrible injuries. I made a claim with gm esis dept. , they denied my claim stating that the tires were worn and speed. I had no more 5000 miles at the time of the crash. There is no way the tires were worn nor speed. I took my car in for the lease maintenance package the dealership (suburban Cadillac) did tire rotation and at time there was no mentation of my tire thread wearing down. When I mentioned to service dept about the problems with the tires the explanation I was given is that the run flat tires are like the big wheel (child plastic tricycle from the 80's) tires when it rains that's why plus tire are low profile. I contacted my state attorney general (no help), bbb (going through procedures currently), ftc (made a complaint), and contacted nthsa(no help at all) to get help for an investigation and for gm. As a citizen of the united states I am so disappointed with the lack of support for the people that are supposed to assist citizens like me.
The service engine soon, stabilitrak, and traction control lights continuously illuminate my dashboard. It has happened approximately 6 times. Each time the dealer has found basically nothing wrong, just replaced a spark plug each time, changed the oil, and cleared the codes. The car has stalled on multiple occasions. I was almost rear ended by someone because a light turned green and my car was stalled. Prior to it stalling it violently shakes, which is just a little bit more rough than the constant shaking it always does. Also recently it has been having trouble starting. Everything seems to be related and is getting worse. The dealer extended my warranty to almost 90,000 miles but I feel unsafe in this car because of all the problems that it has and all the new problems that keep coming up.
