Wiper Problems of Cadillac ATS

We have owned the 2015 Ats Cadillac since August 31, 2016 . The rear glass is blurry when looking back from the front seat. We replaced the rear view mirror thought that was the problem but didn’t correct. I checked on the windshield glass. I took these number off the rear glass. Gm dot-376 as2 m2h3 trans 70 o/o min. E6 43r-008011 agc automotive 30 b a006450 tempered GS. I have a picture showing the above info. Taken from the rear glass…. .

My back glass on my 2016 Cadillac Ats shattered on 3-10-2023. It looks like it got hot from the defroster lines as it shattered every inch of the back glass and separated from the seals. I contacted Cadillac and they started case #9-9552142107. I had the car inspected at my dealership on 3-11-23. They filled out the report on this case number to support the findings of a current recall already in place. Recall date 2015-09-03 recall no. 15v558000 general motors llc (gm) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Cadillac Ats sedan vehicles manufactured April 23, 2012, to September 2, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the coil antenna module that powers the rear defogger system may generate excessive heat due to excessive cycling or continuous operation. When I contacted Cadillac they said I needed to contact NHTSA with the info to have my car put on the recall.

My headlight bulbs have been replaced and checked 2x by the used auto superstore which I will not name at this time ! and by the manufacturer (dealer) but once it’s dark out and the automatic brights come on and either both or one side goes completely out only to come back on sometimes or not at all which is very dangerous especially at night !.

Rear view mirror is very foggy. I bought it from a dealership and it was already like that.

Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Ats. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph, the vehicle temperature gauge begin to over heat with all the warning lights illuminated. The contact is unaware if the vehicle had smoke coming from the hood. The vehicle was taken to the dealer braman miami 2060 biscayne blvd, miami, FL 33137 (305)-720-2629 for a diagnosed test to be performed but was denied service and stated that there was no factory warranties on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. No diagnosed has been performed. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirm no recalls or warranties under the VIN. The failure mileage was 70,000. Ck.

Tl-the contact owns 2013 cadilac Ats. The contact stated that there are three failures with theire vehicle. The heating and air condition in the vehicle has failed. The heat turns to air conditioning whe accessed. A switch in the sunroof is causing the sunroof to freeze when accessed and the cruise control stalls and will cease to function. . The vehicle was taken to gold coast cadilac at (732) 695-1400 2123 NJ-35, oakhurst, NJ 07755. Where they were informed that nothing could be done. Failure mileage unknown. Jw.

The car has a cracked cue screen from the inside which operates all the functions for defrosting, air-conditioning, and heating. The only way to use any of the air/heat is to have the auto button. The options on the steering wheel do not work at all. This has now become a very very severe safety issue when driving the vehicle and you need to have the front windshield clear. I also subscribe to siriusxm radio and you cannot use the radio at all from the cue system or the steering wheel to change the channels or volume. The cruise control is not operable at all because it is set up on the steering wheel . Cadilac should assume responsibility for the entire cue system since you can only use half of the functions in the vehicle.

Windshield is delaminating, car has 43,000mi and the windshield is in good shape otherwise.

The Cadillac Ats has a pervasive issue whereby the windshield is DE-laminating. In extreme cases the "bubbles" extend downward and interfere with visibility. Almost all Ats vehicles in hot climates have this defect, mine included.

The windshield on this car is severely flawed. There are numerous air bubbles and blistering affecting your visibility out of the front windshield. It looks like the windshield is delaminating. I searched in google and it appears I am not the only one experiencing these issues. Same make/model and year.

My sunroof will not close while parked my car did not start. The gauges and lights came on, but the car would not start while parked my defrost doesn't work on the front window when raining. The windshield is foggy while driving.

Stated recall was to "repair" the automatic shut off of the rear window defogger/defroster. It was supposedly resolved by deactivating the shut off mechanism. Supposedly, if the automatic shut-off did not activate, the contacts could fail and there could be a fire. My concern is what happens now if I forget to shut off the defroster/defogger. In the manual it says the system was timed for a set time, then would shut off. Then the automatic control supposedly would turn the defroster/defogger back on but for a shorter interval. To me that means, the time factor is important and probably was there to prevent a fire. My contact with gm's service center had a number of requests in priority order. Those further down my list were wild ideas to put my mind totally at rest about driving such a car. None of my requests were granted. Below are in priority order what I requested. !. Persons who brought in the car for the recall should be reminded that the system was no longer automatic and they should be mindful of the need to shut off the system. 2. A card or memory stimulating decal be provided to serve as a reminder to shut off the "automatic system". 3. That gm provide assurances to owners that this work around system was an effective way or resolving the problem and not cause a potential fire. Now my selfish requests. 4. Gm guarantee me that if a fire did occur as a result of this issue they would cover all repairs. 5. Most selfish: gm allow me to opt out of my lease so I didn't have to worry about the whole issue. (I know that would never happen, but I thought it would exert some pressure to get the top ones done at least.
