Four problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1998 Cadillac Catera. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 65 mph, the vehicle stalled and lost power. Consumer managed to pull over and had the vehicle towed to dealership but the problem was not resolved. The consumer stated a recall was performed on the vehicle regarding the timing, but the recall repair failed.
Vehicle has stalled 3 times; first time at 40 mph vehicle sputtered/ stalled second time while driving 60 mph, and then started again while driving 50 mph without prior warning. Took vehicle to dealer twice, told consumer he could not find cause, unable to remedy problem.
The vehicle stalls and is hard to start back up. Vehicle has been to dealer ten times, but the cause of the problem cannot be determined.
Car stalled and never discovered problem. Yh.
