One problem related to brake foundation components has been reported for the 1999 Cadillac Catera. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Braking system malfunctioned. Brake pedal traveled halfway down in order for the braking system to be functional which caused extended stopping distance, and might result in a crash. Dealer said it was the charcteristic of the vehicle, and that nothing could be done to correct it. Design flaw.
