The contact owns a 2001 Cadillac Catera. Since may of 2009, the vehicle stalls while driving 45 mph or greater. Initially, the stalling occurred occasionally. Ever since the vehicle was repaired on June 28, 2009, the stalling occurs every other day. The contact feels that this is a serious safety issue. The failure mileage was 92,000. The contact owns a 2000 Cadillac Catera. The vehicle stalled whenever he stopped at a traffic light. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but they were unable to duplicate the failure. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle stalled and lost power. Consumer managed to pull over and had the vehicle towed to dealership but the problem was not resolved. The consumer stated a recall was performed on the vehicle regarding the timing, but the recall repair failed.

The Cadillac Catera will suddenly stall out--there is no warning that it is going to happen. It typically happens when making a turn(right or left). It is potentially life threatening when it occurs. Please do something about this! someone is going to be killed when this occurs. I should also mention there are many other problems with this vehicle but the stalling out of the vehicle is the most serious. I am sick and tired of going to the dealership and them telling me my problem "cannot be duplicated. " obviously, it can't. . . Because you can't predict when it will occur.
