The contact stated when the key was removed from the ignition, the engine remained powered. The contact stated he can turn the ignition without the key to turn off the ignition. The contact stated the engine lose power while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was able to restarted. The failure interfered with the alarm system. The anti-theft light illuminated. The failure persisted for the past year and continued. The vehicle had not been diagnosed by a professional. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. 2 Anti-theft Controller problem

Failure Date: 07/02/2010

The contact owns a 2003 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph the vehicle stalled and none of the warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle within twenty minutes. The mechanic stated that the fuel pump caused the failure to occur and it was replaced. During a test drive, the vehicle stalled. The dealer informed the contact that the failure was caused by the anti-theft and on -star features that interfered with the starter and the fuel injection system. The vehicle will be towed to the dealer for additional diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was contacted and there was no favorable response from the representative. The failure and current mileages were 130,000.
