In back seat on left airbag is really coming out. Im afraid it will explode when I have a child or family member in the seat. The airbag sits right over the person that sits under it. I happen to notice it when I was helping my elder mother out of the car. Help please 🙏🏼 we just home from doctors appointment.
Takata recalled my 77 year old mother, a diabetic, recently ran into the back of a cop car in myrtle beach, SC when her blood sugar was low. Her head banged against the wheel and her airbags deployed but didn't deflate. She was driving a 2004 Cadillac Cts sedan with around 60k miles on it, with VIN number 1g6dm577240155485. I have contacted Cadillac corporate and they are processing my information at the moment. The case number is 8-2200807446. Tl the contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Cts. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 05v024000 (air bags). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure.
2004 Cadillac Cts. Consumer writes in regards to ecm board recall. The consumer stated the dealer there was a recall on the vehicle. The cost to repair/replace the ecm board was $800. 00. The day after the vehicle was returned to the consumer, it would not start. And the same message displayed on the vehicle, from when it was originally taken to the dealer. Also, the key would not come out of the ignition.
