Engine Exhaust System problems of the 2005 Cadillac CTS

1 Engine Exhaust System problem

Failure Date: 07/08/2011

This car has had several issues the newest being it started using excessive oil just after the main computer was replaced. This car has had regular maintenance at the proper times and never used a drop of oil. When it started using oil it used five liters of oil in just 24 days or 2000 miles. It continues to use a liter every two days. Dealer has know idea why this is happening but the car is burning it, the white exhaust is very evident.

2 Engine Exhaust System problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2005

The consumer was on the road, when suddenly smoke started to come from the front of the vehicle. The consumer made contact with " on star". And was told not to continue driving the vehicle. The consumer made it to a parking lot where a tow truck was sent to retrieve it. After the dealer serviced the vehicle the consumer was told that pine cones were found and that is what started the fire. The consumer stated there are no pine cones near the home or where the vehicle had been previously. Fire originated from the exhaust. The post oxygen sensor burned. The post oxygen sensor was replaced on the passenger side. The transmission heat shield was damaged and was replaced as well.
