1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 02/16/2018

I am the owner of a 2005 Cadillac Cts which was not included in the airbag recall, according to the NHTSA and gm websites, but has the same year, make, model, and defective airbag as the ones included. I took my Cadillac to get a 27 point inspection, oil change, etc. , on 2/16/18, and I was informed that the front seat airbag sensor needed to be replaced because it was not working. My vehicle should be included in the gm manufacturing recall of takata airbags.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2017

Front passenger airbag sensor shorted out and required replacement. Both Cadillac dealership and gm indicating that my VIN # doesn't apply as part of the gm safety recall 100355 NHTSA id 10v644000 which means I am responsible for the cost of part and labor for the fix.

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 10/29/2016

The airbag sensor light just came on even though the car has never been in a wreck. Although, this was issued a recall it is only on certain cars of that year. The problem has been acknowledged so not sure why all cars in this year range are not fixed on the recall since this is an acknowledged safety issue. This light comes on as soon as the car is started. Is Cadillac going to take responsibility if the airbag goes off or does not go off in an accident? this is a safety feature that should be fixed by Cadillac.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2016

Passenger airbag occupant sensor/module is faulty. After a while, the mat kinks, bends, or folds. Due to this it loses connection and triggers a "service airbag soon", disabling the airbag system until the problem is fixed. This is the same problem as in NHTSA recall #10v644000, but for some reason my car is not covered. It requires replacement with the same gm part number (19124390).

Failure Date: 04/07/2015

My vehicle has a recall on the air bag pressure sensor module. Due to missing the cutoff date of exactly 1 month the dealership would not honor the pairs. Due to the $650 repairs required I was not prepared to have that service done. Any assistance or clarity on this is greatly appreciated.

10 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2011

In January I heard there was a recall on the 2005 Cadillac Cts for a possible failure of the passenger seat air bag sensor. In late February while on vacation, the air bag service light came on every time I started my car. I then noticed the passenger air bag on/off message on the rear view mirror showed the air bag was off all the time. Even when someone was in the passenger seat it showed off. Upon returning from vacation in early March, I called the Cadillac dealer where I purchased the vehicle in December 2004 and was told that according to general motors records my vehicle was not involved in the recall for the air bag sensor (10v-644000). I then called Cadillac customer assistance and was told the same thing. I asked why my vehicle was not involved when it appeared I was having the problem addressed in the recall. I was told I could wait to see if it would be in the future and I told the representative that if I waited it would negate the purpose of having a passenger air bag if it would not work. I was told I could have the repairs completed at my expense but as far as they were concerned my vehicle was not in the previously mentioned recall. On March 7, 2001 I had the vehicle check at my local repair shop and they verified the passenger seat occupant sensor had to be replaced. They installed the new module kit and it cost me $451. 78. I called Cadillac customer assistance and was told my vehicle was not involved in the recall even though I had the problem addressed in the recall. I'm seeking reimbursement for repairs that should have been fixed under recall 10v-64000.

11 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Cts. While driving at speeds of 45 mph, the air bag warning light illuminated on the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the air bag sensor module was replaced. The contact was informed that prior to repairs, if the vehicle had been involved in a crash the air bags would not have deployed. The failure and current mileages were 59,844. Updated 02/23/lj.

12 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 05/02/2007

Multiple service visits with complaints re brakes not working fully, fuel gauge was always incorrect, passenger air bag not working. Air bag sensor was replaced but did not correct the problem. After multiple complaints regarding fuel gauge and several attempts to repair, was told no problem found. Stbility sensor replaced while going thru parking lot at 15 mph, slightly touching the brakes, the cars stability system light came on and the brakes failed. Car did hard right, brakes failed and car ran over curb and into sign. Gm finally repurchsed the vehicle after several miscommunications re the terms of repurchase but refused to cover the damage to the sign and expected me to repair the car before they would purchase.
