When the car is in motion, turning slightly or sharply into a parking spot, approaching a stop sign or red light to make a left or right turn at low speeds, the brake pedal begins to lock up when pressing on it to stop. Upon looking into this problem, more other people have replaced the hub and ebcm several times and the issue was still recurring. Unfortunately, the fault or problem that created this unsafe condition is still unknown by gm.
When turning slowly into parking spaces the breaks go out and do not work causing the car to either hit or run up the curbing. This happens often enough that we are becoming scared to drive car. We have taken it to multiple dealers and they say they cannot fixt the issue.

The car was being parked at hospital by my daughter where she works the brake pushed all the way to floor car hit building no injurers 2nd time this has happened the car has front damage no airbag deployed there are over 500 times this has happened looking at websites this needs fixed before more people get killed all the same cars.
I had just exited the highway and waited at the end of the ramp for the traffic signal to change. I was proceeding into the intersection after waiting for light to change. I began to accelerate and another car ran the light and hit my car on passenger side. The responders said I was t-boned. When I got hit the car steering wheel locked up, the car came out of gear, the gear mechanism inside the car came apart, the brakes didn't work. I had no control of the car, it shut down. The only thing that stopped me from hitting the metal guardrail was the car ended up on the curb on left of road in the bushes. The passenger window shattered and windshield on passenger side was damaged. The passenger door was pushed into the car and neither of the airbags deployed. The responder's commented that they were surprised that the airbags didn't deploy as hard as I was hit. The vehicle has been deemed a total loss as the damage is extensive. Previously on a few days have had to jiggle the steering wheel and the keys in ignition to turn so that I could start my car. I had previously checked the gm site and entered my VIN because I had times when the ignition switch in my car would not work. There was no recall for my vehicle.
Several times I have experienced that when turning right into a parking space my car does not want to come to a stop,my brakes become hard and to come to a stop I have to keep pumping the brakes. I am very scared to even go into a parking space. Dont know if my car is gonna stop or keep going. The first time this happened to me is when first purchased the car,but being that u can use this car as stick or standard I thought maybe I did something wrong,I almost went into my apartment building. I am afraid that I might get into an accident with my grandchildren in the car or even hit someone walking.
Abs and traction control light comes on , car will not brake on low speed levels .
I noticed that, when driving very slowly and turning sharply to left and braking car would shudder and feel like brakes not working. Finally, one day it would not stop and I almost hit a car. Took in to service center and abs system in wheel had to be replaced. Now I am having similar experiences again and "check brake assist" and "abs" warning lights on. When this car was 6 mos old, the abs assembly had to be replaced. It seems that this is a design flaw in the car but Cadillac does not acknowledge. Is intermittent problem and if I turn off the engine and start from straight drive, problem does not occur or register in warning system.
I have read numerous complaints for the same issue I am reporting on the internet on various websites. The dealership mechanics can't determine the issues and something has to be done! the first time I experienced the problem I was slowly (less than 5mph) turning the steering wheel in the right direction into a parking space and the vehicle would not stop, it jumped the sidewalk, but stopped before hitting the building. I had the vehicle looked at by mechanics at the dealership and they were unable to replicate, but would guess manifold gasket, that’s a lot of money for a guess fix that may not resolve the problem. .
