Brake Light On problems of the 2007 Cadillac CTS

Was driving and service brake assist message came on two days ago along with the abs t/c light on the dash. I had no idea what it meant so I've kept driving. About an hour ago I was getting ready to park into my garage and the brakes would not work and I almost crashed into a parked car. Again the service brake assist light came on. I'm 7 months pregnant and this is my only transportation. I'm not looking to get into an accident due to my brakes failing. My service air bags message also comes up and even with a passenger in the car it doesn't state that the passenger air bag is on. I am pretty sure both of these issues were part of a recall but I hadn't owned the car during that time. As of now this car is a fatal accident waiting to happen and I'm unsure as to why there isn't still an open recall to address this brake failure issue.

Display "service brake assist" traction control & brake light warning on dash. . . . Low speed brake pedal vibrates and lessens stopping ability (anti lock activates) causes vehicle inability to stop at low speeds. . . . . . Many blogs stating same condition with replacement of all brake function parts with no cure. . . . Has occured on and off for last year.

My 2007 Cadillac Cts has had problem after problem since I purchased it used at 60,000 miles!! I am now experiencing seriously dangerous & hazardous brake issues when parking &/or turning the wheel all the way!! the brakes pulsate & go to the floor but fail to stop!! the service brake light comes on & the abs/tc light as well, but then will go off before I can make it to the dealer!! when I parked on a hill my car failed to stay parked & started to drift backwards down the hill so I had to jump in & hit the brakes manually!! also the passenger airbag light doesn't recognize when someone is in the passenger seat. The service airbag light would come on the dash & information center then now it is staying on at 90,000 miles. I contacted GMC about the brake issues & they told me there was no recalls for any brake issues!! I also asked about the recall for the airbag for my 2007 vehicle but they informed me it wasn't for my VIN # but it is having the same exact issues as the recall!! someone is going to get seriously injured due to these hazards!! GMC/Cadillac needs to step up & correct these issues before it is to late!! how many more people have to get injured, die, or complain before these issues are addressed!!! this is supposed to be a luxury car but it is more like a junk car death trap!!!!.

I am the owner of this 2007 gm product. I took my car to frankel Cadillac 1/09/15 , invoice number 60596 and I was never notified that there were recommended recalls on my vehicle. On that date there were some problems related to the wiring on the abs and ebtm and I denied the service to be done there because I was quoted a cost of over 2,500 dollars and I was informed that it might escalate to 3500 if an abs pump needed to be replaced also. I later had the work done at young's located in woodlawn for a lot less. I now problems with the power train and the anti theft system and have the auto in gregg's repair , 5050 wabash Ave. I also saw on line that the on star operation is able to release the anti theft mode. I have been quoted a price of 886 dollars plus change by gregg's Cadillac . I am able to drive the vehicle, but in order to get the key out, the battery has to be disconnected. I am perplexed that I was never notified about the recalls on this vehicle. With all of the noted problems I was in motion. I was stopped by the police for the brake light in the city and I was driving on the highway when the anti theft mode went into operation.

I purchased this car as a used vehicle from atlantic Cadillac in bay shore new york in April 2011. Several times since this purchase I have had trouble stopping. The brakes fail and service brake assist lights up on my dash. Also the abs and the traction control symbols light up on the dash. I have had the car to the dealer several times for this problem. I am told they cannot duplicate the problem. This is no way to handle a brake situation. This is very dangerous. I had my daughter in the car this morning in the school parking lot. Which I might add was full of students and cars, busses. This problem must be addressed before someone is killed. As soon as this happened this mornning I called the dealer again only to be given the same response the problem cannot be duplicated. I was not happy with how I was being treated at atlantic Cadillac so the last few times I had problems I went to a dealer closer to my-home. Every time I turn a hard left into a parking space or any hard left my car looses its breaks & my service brakes assist light goes on. I have had my car in the shop twice & they cant seem to figure out what is causing the problem. It is a very dangerous problem. If anyone else has had this same problem and have the cause figured out please let Cadillac know.
