Timing chain has been loosened and possibly ready to break. Service bulletin #11340c was issued and gm/Cadillac never contacted me for the special coverage repair. They are now refusing to assist me. While driving vehicle there was burning rubber smell and car hesitated, failed to accelerate while driving on a busy county road in danville indiana.
My oil keeps running low every 2 months and makes a loud clicking sound. Was told that my oil is burning and that they don't know why. Vehicle is in motion when it starts to jerk and starts kicking back and make knocking noise in the engine.
Rear differential seal leaking midas told me when I had the oil changed right after I got the car exactly one year and one day ago today and there is like a weird noise when I drive but if I turn the heat or air in it stops.
I was giving a recall paper in the mail , so I took my car to the address listed on the reform. The dealership didn't do the recall. The reason they decided not to do it was because I didn't have the correct keys and was told you car doesn't need it, it doesn't have that problem unless you have the original key. I tried contacting the manufacturer to confirm this clam but they left me on hold. I have the impression they didn't want to do the service for free. I just want to know weather my car is safe to drive.
This year got my all change said I had oil n water pump leak car have bout 220000 miles on it.
Timing chain stretched or premature wear.
Ecm unit failed to function leaving the car in a engine power reduced mode. Car will not respond to acelleration and will not go more than 40 mph.
I was driving down the road and heard a terrible clunk followed by grinding. I stopped to look under the car because I thought something fell out or of the car. I got it to a repair shop and the rear differential went out because it had been leaking. I had contacted Cadillac earlier in the 2014 to check on recalls and was told that my car was not under recall. I think it should've been under recall. I read that this is a big problem with the Cts, but Cadillac refuses to make it right on older models. I am just glad I wasn't driving at 70 mph or somebody could've been killed. I am $2,200 in the hole now. . .
On Friday September 19, 2014 I received a recall (14172) letter from gm. The notice states "parts are now available to repair your vehicle" relating to safety and the ignition key. In addition I am instructed to call my "Cadillac dealership as soon as possible" to schedule a service to fix the problem. I called two dealerships on September 22, 2014, close to where I live and both reported that they had no parts and did not know when they would have them!!!! I am extremely upset and frustrated as my livelihood depends upon using this car and I had no idea that Cadillac was involved in this "key" recall. I mean isn't Cadillac supposed to be gm's higher quality car???.
I received a letter from gm c/w recall 14172. Have called to set up repairs and am told there are no parts available from gm by the dealer, the letter from gm clearly states "parts are now available to repair your vehicle" had one appointment canceled, called to reschedule and they asked me to call in a week, now they are asking me to call at the end of October. I have a life beyond me scheduling recall repairs with gm that can potentially affect my safety and has caused significant injury to others already. Get this resolved they should be calling me to schedule maintenance not the other way around.
I am concerned about a know differential issue with the Cadillac Cts. In forums every where I am reading that the differential first leaks and then grenades. I know you are only requesting information when it grenades, but I think issues should be stated immediately! I don't want to be driving down the road with children in the car and have problems then. I contacted Cadillac first and received the heisman stiff arm. I think this is a significant flaw in the Cts dating back to 2004 and should have a recall!.
