Tire Pressure Monitoring System Problems of Cadillac CTS

The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was swaying to the left or the far right without the contact moving the steering wheel. The contact stated that while driving at slower speeds, the vehicle was easier to control. The contact stated the traction control, tpms, service brake assist, air bags, and service stabili-trak warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The contact became aware of NHTSA campaign number: 11v089000 (suspension) and called the NHTSA hotline to see if the VIN was included. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.

2014 Cadillac Cts. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle right front tire pressure gauge dropped to zero while driving and it showed the tire needed air. The consumer stated according to the window sticker, the vehicle was equipped with all season run flat tires along with a tire pressure monitor system . After taking delivery of the vehicle, she learned the vehicle was equipped with low- profile tire. The consumer believed a warning should be provided when purchasing a vehicle with low-profile tires, since buyers don't have the opportunity to review the manual prior to purchase.

Problems with psi for vehicle tire equipment. . The consumer stated the outdoor sticker on the vehicle stated for 17 inch tires, they should be inflated to 30 psi, however the gm shop manual stated the tires should be inflated to 35 psi. Gm informed the consumer to check with his local dealer to find out the correct tire pressure.
