Was backing out of my parking space and the warning icons on my dash,(service brake system, stabiltrack, traction control. 4 years ago I had to replace a (yaw) that goes under the driver's seat because moonroof is leaking so I sealed the roof. The yaw controls the stabiltrack. I took it to a auto parts store to get diagnosed and it says speed sensor or possibly a wheel hub. Ive owned cars for 50 some years and never had this problem. The car only has 110,000 miles. Iam tired of problems related to this issue as I said first was yaw ,now hub for car. There must be other owners that have had this problem. This is supposed to be a luxury automobile and miles aren't high.

We purchased this vehicle four months ago and love it except for: 1)there seems to be some kind of tint on the rear view mirror which makes it very hard to see other vehicles at night, especially at dusk before some drivers turn their headlights on. We know to be very careful, but there is a very high risk for an accident. 2)exhaust fumes enter the vehicle when stopped while the engine is running, made worse by the fact that the vehicle automatically resets to let outside air in even if we push the button to recirculate the inside air. I can’t imagine that this is healthy for anyone: I’ve had to use my inhaler more often. The situation could be life-threatening for some if one had to sit in traffic for an extended period of time.
The service stabilitrak and service traction control error message come on periodically and when on the car seems to run rough. Message shuts off then could hit a bump and comes on again. You never know when it is going to come on and when on it shuts off the traction control and could be dangerous.

When it rains water just pours downs us from the sun roof top causing the floors or carpet to smell from the water . . . Please help with direction with this problem . . Thus accused while we were driving in the rain . . .
2007 Cadillac Dts has been giving me problems with leaking water from either the moon roof or roof itself near driver's door. The floor gets soaked with water and has caused a part called a yaw under the seat to short the wiring out and had to be replaced because it controls the tail lights and tail lights and brake lights were staying stationary when driving so car behind me has no indication whether brakes are being applied. I replaced the yaw but the roof is still leaking and it could happen again and could cause the floor to rot out from repeatedly getting wet when raining. I feel this is a serious safety concern and should be fixed by Cadillac.
Hello!I recently purchased a 2007 Cadillac Dts with 71,000 miles good for this year. When purchasing this vehicle when driving water fell on my legs. I told dealer about this and the dealer sent it to a Cadillac dealer to fix the leak. So I purchased the 2007 Cadillac Dts. About 3 weeks later it rained and driver and passenger rear was soaked and the stabilizer control on dash icon saying service stabilizer. I took it back to dealer and found out taillights werent working properly. Will anyway so many trips to dealers and moonroof is still leaking and due to floors getting soaked the yaw under drivers seat has been damaged by the water and caused the stabilizer to shorten out so it will interfer with stability on wet and snow conditions with no control. I have since replaced the yaw but floor is still getting wet from rain . I beleive this is a safety hazard for sure. It should be presented to Cadillac as a serious defect. This problem started 10/14/2018.
My car won't start if the tilt wheel is not in a certain position. The engine will not start until you put it down in a certain position---which I guess at. After I start it I can adjust the tilt wheel and I have no problem. After stopping and parking the car, I have to get it in the right position to have it start. (yesterday after 3 adjustments, it would not start. ) after resting for a few hours, it started.
The abs will randomly apply in good driving conditions for no reason when the brakes are applied causing you to potentially loose control of the vehicle. Had the abs module replaced and issue happened again 3 months after very costly repair. Note: vehicle had a code "yaw rate sensor".
Fuel pump relay melted replaced rear fuse box and relay tried to start vehicle on 6 June 2016 vehicle would not start at all. Had vehicle towed in to diagnose $81. 99 just purchased about 6 months ago. Purchased a warranty but this problem was not covered. I have never had this experience with a vehicle. After extensive reading I find this is a problem with a variety of Cadillac vehicles. I had to pay $796. 43, parts were $397. 51. This should have never happen and could have caused major damage. Since Cadillac know this is a problem I feel I should be reimbursed for my suffering and pain. This problem could have resulted in a fire starting in the seat area. I probably would not have known until it was to late.
Lane departure system has gone out two times in less than 45,000 miles. This is a system to warn you when you cross over into another lane.
While driving on the freeway there was a loud popping sound from the rear passenger door window and the window suddenly dropped completely into the door and would not roll back up. 3 weeks later the front passenger door window did the exact same thing.

On 9/4/15 @ approx 5:45 p. M, vehicle would not start - it acted like there was no fuel getting to the injectors. Three hours later I tried to start the car and it started just fine; took it for a drive around the block w/o any issues. On 9/7/15 the problem resurfaced; I had the car towed to a local mechanic who diagnosed the problem on 9,/8/15, to be a bad fuel pump relay. Car worked fine for one day; on 9/9/15 the problem resurfaced once again - if the car sat off for a couple of hours the problem would go away. I took the car to the Buick GMC dealer and they diagnosed the root cause to be a bad fuse box assembly ($318 part). The fuel pump relay got hot enough to melt the hard plastic of the fuse box assembly, and there are burn marks on the body of the fuel pump relay - I have the old parts and pictures of same. The service rep at the Buick GMC dealer said they have seen this problem on Buick lacrosse. Being that the fuse box is under the rear seat of the car, there is the potential for the car to catch on fire.
While driving loss of brakes due to excessive corrosion and failure of the metal hydraulic brake lines electrical system dash indicator service brake stabilatrak.
We were hit in right side by a driver who pulled out from a stop sign and crossed two lanes hitting our car in the passenger side on the fender and front door. Air bags did not deploy causing injury to head and neck.
Today I had the gm recall 14299 performed on my Cadillac Dts at my local Cadillac dealership. The repair took about 1 hour and the car was returned to me with the instructions from the dealership that one key had a "clamp" on it and if I removed the "clamp" and the new key insert did not stay in place that they would need to "figure something out". I waited an hour for the glue to dry and attempted to remove the "clamp" and the insert was adhered to the clamp as it appeared residual glue had stuck to the face of the insert and the underneath slide of the clamp. I then went to put a key chain on my gm valet key and the insert popped out of place on that key as well. I have not yet contacted the gm dealership, but this recall repair is very troubling as it does not appear that this repair will have the longevity needed to stay in place and protect the consumer. I have photos of the keys if needed.
Why is the auburn, al Cadillac dealership (lynch) not receiving replacement parts for the gm recall 1499. I have inquired about having my car serviced for this recall. They stated that "they only receive a few repair kits at a time" and at the time of my inquiry "they did not have any more kits. ".
You already show recall information on 2007 Cadillac Dts for ignition key safety problem but I would like to complain that gm tells me in their recall letters that the parts to fix this are not available. On calling them and posing the question whether gm is back-logged having to make so many parts to fix the issue or if it is that they do not have a 'fix' yet, gm said their engineers are working on it and have not determined a fix yet, therefore not known what parts they will need. It puts owners in a position where they must play russian roulette. Since both my 2007 Dts and my 2001 deville are on latest recall list I don't have a safe car to drive until gm repairs these or else I must purchase another vehicle (not gm) to have something safe to drive. I have detached each car's ignition key from key rings so that not even the fob is attached. However, appears that this merely serves to diminish the potential that in an accident the key might not be as likely to slip from 'run' position to turning the car off completely, leaving me with no power steering, power brakes and possibility airbags won't deploy. Gm has instructed its dealerships that they may not sell any vehicle in this recall until it is repaired, so the cars are, in essence, worthless until that happens and can not even be used for trade-in purposes. I suspect their competitor auto manufacturers are fully aware of the situation and would not relish any gm trade-ins that, due to liability potential, they could not sell on to anyone.
So we bought the car. In 2012 or 2013. And in 2014 we received a yellow letter in the mail saying that our car needed to be serviced for a recall. We set it up. Ended up taking it in to be serviced for the recalls. Not knowing in 2008 they recalled what is now going wrong in the car, I didn’t say anything at the time we repaired it. It they didn’t either I believe and even if we didn’t say anything they honestly should’ve just repaired the part that was messed up for us and then let us know: now we have spent so much money towing our car back to our house so that it is safe, and have missed appointments, been stranded, I mean we have really, honestly and truly, very very compromised but this issue with the electrical system our car is having all the time since this recall repair was administered: now it has just gotten so bad we can noyt even drive it. We will get stuck where ever we turn it off unfortunately. I’ve not looked online at information taken all the necessary needs to find out if my vehicle was given the recall before we owned it just to be sure too, it was not. I know that everything that I have read relates directly perfectly to every single issue that we are have ig now on our car. The recall from 2014 the key doesn’t come out the ignition anymore and that’s very good, but I know that the Cadillac dealer, did not!! install any other part into the car but that service it asked for. Like beyond a doubt I don’t know what to do and would love to be able to get some answers soon. Thank you very much. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. High amperage connectors controlling driver and passenger heated and cooled seats shorted at module under passenger seat inside passenger compartment. Car filled with smoke and I had to search and pull the fuse under the rear seat cushion for the wire that shorted under front passenger seat. Trolling forums yielded very quick results with many that had same issue. The module and associated wiring should be recalled by gm (not to mention the stealership charges well over 1,200 for the part alone).
I have had a problem with my car for over a year. I keep getting fumes from the vent and several times I have had the car to Cadillac on several ocassions. Had made several complaints to general motors and I always get a call back, most of the time it would be a different person but they all said the same thing, just like they were programed. My son has a friend who was a trouble shooter for gm and worked for frost motors until they lost their franchise and he went out on his own. He told my son that this was a common problem with these cars from 2006 to 2010 and most of the time the vehicles had high milage on them and gm would stall them off and their warrante would run out. I have 64,000 on my car now and two weeks left on my warrante. Today I contacted congressman kennedys office due to what I have seen on the news and the chief execdutive officer of general motors going before congress over other vehicle safety problems. I was advised to make this complaint which I am doing and I would hope others that are having the same problem make the same complaint and maby gm would be forced to fix our car's. I had also wrote to mary t. Barra chief executive officer for gm (certified mail and it was signed for) and I have spoken to her assistance brandon 1-855-880-1400 ext 11562 and all he would say is they are very concerned with their customers isues. And take all complaints seriously. One thing they did do was offer me $1,000. 00 towards a new Cadillac, I have put the incident date down as 5-12-14 as we were going to the doctor yesterday and got the fumes again. When I told them I was writing to congressman kennedy, they stopped talking to me. ( I wonder why)?.
In regards heated / cooled seat inoperative - keywords climate control cool cooled driver front heat heated inoperative intermittent left module passenger right - (Mar 18, 2008) subject:heated/ cooled seat inoperative models:2006- 2008 Buick lucerne w/ rpo kb6 2006- 2008 Cadillac Dts w/ rpo kb6 I had my heated/cooled seat module replaced in August 2013. Through the winter my heated seats worked fine. Today I turn on my seat heaters only to hear a clicking noise coming from under the passenger seat followed by puffs of white smoke. I quickly turned the car off and disconnected the battery. Upon visual inspection of the area where the smoke came from. I found the module melted to the connector so much so I had to remove the relay for the seat module. This fire could have grown dangerous very quickly. I know a number of fellow Cadillac/Buick owners that this has happened to. If gm does not resolve this issue with a recall there will likely be legal action taken.
I was driving down the highway at 65 mph and suddenly I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye over my head followed by a tremendous "boom" above me. The sunroof then disintegrated into many sharp shards and rained around the driver and passenger getting into the shifting mechanism, electric seats, seatbelt connectors and all over the passengers. There was no impact and the sunroof blew up and outwards from the inside of the car.

My 2009 Dts has factory installed crome wheels and the crome is peeling off. Cadillac dealer said they were abused, but all four wheels are peeling the same place. Dealer would do nothing.
The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Dts. The vehicle was parked when the contact observed that the support arm which secured the hood in an upright position failed to function. An authorized dealer was notified of the malfunction. The technician stated that the failure occurred extremely early at relatively low mileage, and stated that the part would be replaced. The failure and current mileages were 44,000.
We have a severe vibration in our 2007 Cadillac Dts that starts at 55mph and also repeats itself as we come to a stop. Think this vibration is always there, but we feel it at these times. This vibration was so severe that on one occasion we were coming down a mountain side in virginia when it became so violent we barely were able to bring the car under control and bring it to a stop. This is a systemic problem with Dts general motors advised us that their engineers are very aware of this problem with Dts and are working on the problem, but have not figured out how to repair. . We have done everything they have asked . . Realignment, new pads, new rotars, four new tires . . They are quite frank that the problem exists, have several complaints, no answers, and there will be no recall as their plan is to solve the problem by attrition. They have stopped making this model as a result. Hope no one has a serious accident before this happens. Our ride and safety are both now compromised on a daily basis.
This problem - the car dies and I lose all power assisted functions like steering and brakes - has happened multiple times, probably two dozen, over a period of time beginning some time in 2006, with model years 2000, 2001, and 2006 sedans. Since 1995 I have driven only Cadillac. It occurs only when I'm stopped, or rolling at a slow speed, and then begin to accelerate the car, such as has happened many times when I'm in a non-raised center median attempting a left turn against oncoming traffic (I have learned to left lots of room now). I hope I, or someone else in a Cadillac, won't have to die or be seriously injured before they admit this problem in their flagship vehicle. I called gm's 'ignition switch recall' line and was told that this sounds exactly like the problem in the other vehicles.
