The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Dts. While driving approximately 50 mph, the front passenger side tire blew out and the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the steering wheel seized, causing the vehicle to spin and crash into a fence. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v355000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.

2 Tire Blowout problem of the 2007 Cadillac DTS

Failure Date: 06/01/2010

2007 Cadillac Dts. Consumer states problems with vehicle tires in June 2010 the left front tire blew out. It happened at a low speed, so there was no danger of an accident. The tire had to be replaced. In August 2010, the right front tire went flat and the consumer was informed that the tire had disintegrated and needed to be replaced. In November 2010, while driving on the interstate, the left rear tire blew out. The consumer was traveling 75 mph in heavy traffic. The dealer informed the consumer that the tire had disintegrated.
