I called onstar because my car would not start and they sent someone from gm. The guy looked at my car, could not identify the problem, so I got it towed to a repair shop. Ends up, I had to replace the transmission. The repair shop ran electric test on the vehicle and no codes or issues. My dash is now reading service power steering and this is a safety issue that needs to be fixed by the manufacturer.

Stabilitrak light on.
While turning into a parking space at a very low speed my engine by itself accelerated very fast and I immediately put my foot on the brake but this did not stop the car so I put it into reverse and kept my foot on brake the car continue to accelerate very fast but eventually stopped. My car was totalled as it hit the car in front of me which hit the car on it side when I was going forward, when it was in reverse I did not hit any cars. Luckily no one was in the cars I hit and I did not get hurt. There was a witness who saw my brake lights on when my car was out of control accelerating.

( just bought this used car , first time driving it home from dealer) speed control was set at 70 mph on I-88 started down a steep hill, speed keep going up . I keep my foot on he brake as the speed was up to 85 mph . The car never slowed down. I have had Cadillacs beginning in 1991, never had a car do this before, if you are on a flat road doing 50 mph, take your foot of the gas the car will start slowing down after you drive 3/10 of a mile and than slow very slowly. There is something wrong with this car, after driving for 50 years all makes and models , I never had a car do what this car is doing. There is something wrong for sure.
