1 Cruise Control problem of the 2016 Cadillac Escalade

Failure Date: 10/08/2019

The adaptive cruise control radar sensor was found crack after being taken to the dealership for error code. ( their was no physical damage to the front bumper or the bottom of the bumper of the vehicle. Gm failed to replace the part under warranty because they say there is physical damage to the part needed to be replaced. I believe the part should be in location where road debris can hit the part. Service advisor has said this is known issue with this Cadillac model.

2 Cruise Control problem of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade

Failure Date: 09/19/2016

Driving our 2015 Escalade on I-45 just north of huntsville, TX about 11:30 am. Driving with cruise control on at speed limit of 75 mph. There was a peep, car rapidly decelerated to below 50, and low tire pressure light came on. If someone had been close behind me, we would have been hit before I could have reacted. Pull off on an exit and called Cadillac service adviser in huntsville. No help. Looked at tires and then confirmed tire air pressure was normal on instrument panel display. Spent time trying to figure out what had happened. Cruise control would not work while driving on side road, warning light stayed on but info display showed all tires at 37 lbs. Pulled off road again, stopped car, turned engine off, waited a minute, and turned engine back on. Everything was normal. No warning light for tires and cruise control worked. This issue is potential killer due to rapid deceleration and danger of rear end collision.

3 Cruise Control problem of the 2009 Cadillac Escalade

Failure Date: 04/14/2016

The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac Escalade. While the cruise control was activated, it would suddenly fail when the contact activated another electrical device in the vehicle. The failure recurred to the point that the cruise control no longer operated at all. Also, while driving over a speed hump or any other bump in the road, the windows would roll up or down without warning. The dealer was unable to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The approximate failure miileage was 100,000.

4 Cruise Control problem of the 2000 Cadillac Escalade

Failure Date: 09/20/2011

I attempted to brake to accommodate traffic, but the cruise control did not disengage; my vechicle slowed a few miles per hour and then rapidly accelerated, almost causing an accident. I tried to brake again, but the same thing happened! only when I put the car in neutral was I able to stop! I have read a few other similar reports in which the car was not even using cruise control and am now afraid of getting into a "Toyota"-type accident even if I do not use the cruise control. What am I to do??? please advise. . .
