The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not inspected. Both the dealer and manufacturer stated that there was no recall for the vehicle. The contact referred the manufacturer to NHTSA recall campaign # 98v144000 ( concerning visibility:windshield wiper/washer, and was told that NHTSA's information was incorrect. The manufacturer issued case # 71-510434063. The current mileage is 63,000, and the failure mileage was unknown.
