Three problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 1999 Cadillac Seville. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When the consumer started the vehicle the driver's side air bag inadvertently deployed. The consumer was able to fold up and push the air bag back into the steering wheel, drove the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and the mechanic informed the consumer that the vehicle would be placed on the diagnostic test to find the cause of the problem. The consumer did not agree with the dealer nor the mechanic. The vehicle was parked on dry pavement, the vehicle was not in gear, and sustained no previous damage. The consumer siffered minor injuries.
Fax fm mike petersen (or) re his wife's 1999 gm Cadillac Seville sts, the driver's side air bag deployed when starting the car. The driver sustained only minor injuries such as soreness form the force of the air bag and temporary hearing loss. The manufacturer was contacted but they refused to provide any assistance.
Both driver and passenger side air bags deployed in a fender bender accident ,breaking the windshield.
