1 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2005

The contact stated tire pressure monitoring sensors were defective. The manufacturers recommended tire pressure be 32 psi . However, within 24 hours the sensors suggested the pressure dropped in all four tires. This caused the warning lights to illuminate, signaling low tire pressure. The sensors provided a false reading which alerted the contact that air should be added to the tires. This caused improper pressure to be added, resulting in over inflation. He took the vehicle to the dealer three times for this problem. Each time the dealer calibrated the sensors. This procedure temporarily remedies the problem.
