The technician diagnosed that the engine light was illuminated and the drive shaft couplers, power steering, front wheel bearing, and motor mounts were all defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was returned to the independent dealer who refused to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 109,916.
Car rapidly speed up at full and little time after that heard loud noise in back as driving . Today took to mechanic and didnt even get power starteing up and then speed up agian at full stop and started smking to. Said power streeting went out thought it was that got almost home problem still occurred so did some research and found this recall .

While changing lanes. . . My steering wheel locked and vehicle jumped to the right lane. I restarted the car and the wheel was free. I took it iin for repairs and was told I must replace the entire steering rack, ppump and hoses for a cost of $ 2,489. 00. The repair facilty told me this is very common in Srx and that he just did the same thing on another 05 Srx! scary and costly!.
