The brake pads and rotors were severely damaged by a recurring issue that had happened several times since the original recall repair. There was an initial two year warranty on the original recall repair. When the problem recurred it was six months after the warranty expired. The contact had taken the vehicle since to an independent mechanic. The problem had recurred three times within the last four years with it possibly leading to a serious crash. .
