Differential Unit problems of the 2007 Cadillac SRX

Tl the contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the rear differential leaked without warning. In addition, the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to germain Cadillac (4200 morse crossing, columbus, OH 43219, (614) 421-2007) where the mechanic placed struts on the vehicle. The contact was informed about the rear deferential that may leak. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the leak. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000. The VIN was unknown.

The failure mileage was 112,200.

I discovered fluid leaking under the vehicle and a banging, loud noise was present when shifting to 1st gear. The vehicle was taken to the mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear differential gasket was ruptured. I called the GMC dealer in costa mesa, CA and I was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 07v589000 (power train), even if the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 65-70,000m. Please help me since the dealer said is not their responsability, because based on the VIN number, this car is not included in the recall. The recall started on Dec. 20, 2007, so I'm almost 100% that my vehicle was built before that day in the year of 2007. Please help me since this noise is so loud and the banging is so powerfull, that my kids always think that I hit or somebodyelse hit our car.
