At 9:00 pm et on 20-Nov-2012 I was driving 20 minutes to my home from my in-laws at ~30 mph in monroe, ohio when my airbags malfunctioned. The car was towed to camargo Cadillac’s body shop for repairs the morning of 21-Nov-2012. Both a specialist from state farm (my insurance) and the inspector hired by gm declared that the airbags malfunctioned. Gm’s representative inspected the vehicle on 03-Dec-2012 and the report was received at gm on 12-Dec-2012. It was not until 19-Dec-2012 that gm approved paying for the repairs. Gm would not state what error occurred that caused the airbags to malfunction. My car was under warranty until 100,000 miles and had ~ 76,000 miles on it at the time of the accident. It took ~2 months for the repairs total. No apologies were made by gm for stress or for putting my life at risk. I am thankful no one else was affected by the accident, as I was driving alone and did not lose control of my vehicle.
