2012 Cadillac Srx was traveling approximately 30mph and t-boned another vehicle at an intersection. Both vehicles were totaled. The airbags in the Cadillac did not deploy and the seatbelt did not lock, causing the driver to be thrust forward into the steering wheel and windshield. Significant head injury. The safety of everyone was at risk, this car was not even road-worthy from the moment it left the floor.
A deer hit the driver side of my car. The air bag had a smell but did not deflate. The seatbelts kinda detached from the driver’s seat and both front seatbelts are locked very tight. This happened 1/3/25. About three months ago while driving, the driver seat went into the lowest level position. When I put it back where I could drive it, it did it again. I had to keep putting it in place till I got home. It hasn’t done that again yet. Please send me any recalls so I can get them fixed. Thank you.
Passenger seat belt will not extend for passenger to wear for safety.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the front driver’s and passenger’s side seat belts were inoperable. The passenger’s side air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed that the front driver’s and passenger’s side seat belt pretensioners and anchors needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,089.
Airbags light turned on, my seatbelts just stopped working and are tight, my radio screen just went blank. I can’t drive the vehicle because of no proper working seatbelts. If I was to wreck there is nothing to prevent me the driving or my front passenger from being ejected. Ive taken my vehicle to my dealership that confirmed the airbag sensor says they have been suddenly deployed the dealer also confirmed my vehicle has never been in a accident and ive only had the vehicle since April 19 2021 the problems occured July 5 2021 and they advised me they have heard of airbags popping out of nowhere. It has not been inspected by police or the manufacturer. The seatbelts locked the radio went blank then my airbag light appeared suddenly. I asked the dealership im financing the vehicle from if they could provide me a safe vehicle until they resolve they issue because I do have toddlers and I was told no it wasnt a option I also asked if they could just exchange the vehicle for another around the same value and was also told no. I was most concerned that they allowed me to drive the vehicle off the lot after explaining to me the dangers that could occur while im on the road.
I was parked in my driveway and opened the door and found about 3 inches of water on both the drivers and passenger side. I felt the side panels, under dash, top of dash, headliner, windows and all were dry. The seats and the middle column compartment felt damp. I looked online and found there were complaints of the drain tubes leaking. As the week went on I noticed the car was starting to get mold. It got so bad I couldn't drive the car because it was making me ill with breathing issues. I took it to the dealership and told him it was leaking and that I researched a bit and found that they had issues with the tubes and he said they would need to keep it overnight and would check it and let me know. He calls the next day and says it looks like its coming from the roof they would need to take off the headliner and perform a leak check to verify if that was the cause. He gave me another estimate that was to include the verifying and leak test and replacing the seatbelts and front rug for $6000 and suggests I start an insurance claim. I tell him to not take the headliner off and I would check into the insurance . When I pick it up he hands me an estimate that ends up almost $8000. 00! they had my car overnight and did nothing and charged me $300 for labor! I try to turn it in to insurance and they reject it because he tells them he didn't actually verify the leak even though he charged me. So I am stuck with! thats a big safety issue! my car is actually killing me sitting in it. I could never replace the vehicle at the price I originally paid nor can I sell it or hope to get any value from it to get another car. It has only 71,000 miles on it. A $45000 car that is basically worthless now!.
While driving my passenger's seatbelt came unlatched and flew open. It was not able to be latched again in the buckle. I feel this is a safety issue. If I were to get into an accident and that happened my passenger would have been injured.
Headlights continue to get so much condensation that the bulb and the controller malfunction and the lights will not come on until the units dry out either over time or are manually removed to dry out indoors. The dealer states condensation is normal and the lawsuit that offered redress was only for vehicles sold in two states and my state is not included. The fix is to replace with the same defective designed light assembly. The front passenger seatbelt gets stuck and must be unbuckled in order to adjust. Currently the drivers seatbelt functions as designed with no issue.
I am writing regarding my service airbag light. The light can on about 2 weeks ago. I had it check out by autozone and o�rellies auto storm. I was informed the it was the passenger seat pressure sensor and it have a recall on it. So when I call the Cadillac place they tell me that I have no recalls at this time. So how do two places tell me I have a recall but Cadillac says I don�t. I really need this situation cleared . I drives my elderly parents around and I needs my car to be safe for me as well as for my parents. Please help. I'm having to many issues with Cadillac. My headlight assembly for my car caused by condense in my passenger side headlight assembly. That's been out for about a year. So yes I'm having a bad time with my car. I was the owner/operator of the Srx was t-boned on the passenger side, air bag triggered error message and did not deploy, seatbelt did not lock in place until after I hit the dash resulting in unharnessed contact in cabin causing over $200k in medical bills to date to right shoulder, head, neck and back.
Srx was t-boned and airbags/seatbelt retractor failed. Severe injuries to Cadillac driver from unlocked shoulder harness and all airbags failed.
On 6/25/18, my wife was traveling 45 mph. , in our 2012 Cadillac Srx. The vehcle in fromt of her went to make a left turn into a subdivision. But, then decided not to do that and pulled back into the lane of my wife. She slammed on her breaks, to avoid hitting the vehicle. However, she couldn't anticipafe their move. She hit them from behind, going 45mph. She hit her forehead on the visor bar twice, causing a skull fracture, brain bleed, sever concussion, deep lacerations, a burst artery in her forehead to where she was bleeding heavily and unconscious. Her chest hit the steering wheel, which badly bruised her ribs, causing a hiatal hernia, due to the impact. She suffered lacerations to her left arm, knee and has ruptured discs in her cervical spine. She was icu for several days due to the brain bleed and head injuries she sustained. Our air bag never deployed and the driver seat belt didn't lock on impact, allowing her to bounce upward twice and sustained the head injuries. The Cadillac air bags and sest locking mechanisms failed to protect her from injuries she should had never had. Someone needs to research further these issues for the 2012 Srx so other consumers don't feel safe in a vehicle, where the safety mechanisms fail. Cadillac should not be able to get away with this. Should the 2012 Srx have a recall on air bags and sear belt locking mechanisms failing? more than one complaint has been posted, so I hope the NHTSA investigates this for us all. The first things to go were the headlights, rearview camera & the seatbelt wouldn't fully retract. Then all the dash warning lights flashed like a christmas tree; the radio, heat & ac settings changed on their own; & the navigation screen scrambled into pixels like a crashed computer screen! these issues went on sporadically for months. I was convinced the vehicle was possessed. It seemed things would act up when it rained, was damp or humid. After spending thousands, things got worse. My windows, sun roof & hatchback opened on their own & wouldn't close. I'd have to pull over, turn off the engine, wait a while & restart it like a reset, which was rarely successful the first time. I haven't opened my sunroof in over a year. I mentioned all of the above to the dealership mechanics during regular maintenance & repairs but they could never find the source of the problem, did what they could & said this model was notorious for having electrical issues. Then for weeks, I'd find my hatchback open every morning. I'd close it. Minutes later, it would open again & again & again. I stood there in disbelief. This became a neighborhood joke & was happening even more than I realized because my neighbors had been closing it whenever they saw it open. They thought the vehicle was possessed, as well. After the hatchback, they replaced the module. Shortly after that, I found a puddle on the driver's side floor. I didn't notice it right away because of the winter weather. I removed the floor mats to clean them & saw the puddle. Whatever they did must have rerouted the water & while sitting in the vehicle during a storm, I found one, which I filmed. The warning lights started again, but I don't want to spend thousands more on this vehicle. According to carvana, it's only worth ~$2000. I've read that the sunroof leak is prevalent in the 2010 Srx & other models. Is there anything you can do?.
Passanger airbag defective. Service airbag light comes on. Also a knock in front wheels at take off or backing up.

The manufacturer was contacted but stated the parts for the repair are not available. The failure mileage was 120,000. Tf.
While driving down the street just after exiting the freeway both side and driver airbags deployed and abruptly shut car off impacting my ability to steer and brake. No crash no accident no exterior damage.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Srx. While entering the vehicle and attempting to put on the driver's seat belt, it would not latch. The manufacturer stated that the seat belt failure was not a recall issue. The dealer (crest Cadillac, 2121 rosa l parks blvd, nashville, TN 37228) was contacted and informed the contact of the repair cost. The manufacturer was contacted and agreed to cover half of the repair cost. The seat belt was not repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Two cars ahead of me was going straight and all of a sudden turned into a strip mall without indicator, the car in front of me slammed on their brakes and so did I , but I still ended up rear ending the vehicle in front. I think my speed was around 30 at the time of impact. I hit my chin to the steering wheel. Got multiple cuts inside of my mouth. And couple of them on my face which required stitches. My air bag did not deploy and neither the seatbelt prevented it, which I thought was odd. Checked with Cadillac if hey were aware of any problem with the car. They denied the existence of such an issue. So I want to get the vehicle investigated , so that nobody else should get hurt the way I did; also I have another Cadillac and need to know. I have had my car 6 years and it has been in the shop over and over from the engine lights ,stabilize bar, power steering, transmission problem, anti lock brake and traction control light, security light, catalytic convertor, would not start, remote not detected, sunroof leaks, oil leak, seat belt, brakes problem, gas mile not accurate,.
Hit head on by truck going approx. 45 mph that swerved into my center turn lane. Front end demolished - car was totaled - but air bags did not deploy. Seat belt did not lock on impact. Side of my head hit driver's window or frame - was catapulted forward and caught in seat belt when it pulled out all the way, resulting in horrific and painful chest, abdomen and left leg injuries (soft tissue).
