Latches/locks/linkage Problems of Cadillac SRX

I parked my 2011 Cadillac model Srx in the garage and walked away from it and closed my garage door. One hour later I opened the garage door and the vehile rolled down my driveway and over a curb and hit a tree. The car was in drive. On a normal automobile there the driver needs to put the car in park in order to remove the key. This feature is pretty universal in every car I have operated. This feature is not incorporated in my new Cadillac. It uses an electronic key that does that can remain in your pocket. There was no indication that I was leaving the car in drive vice park. If a child had been in my driveway this accident could have been much worse. The damages to my car were $2132. 89 and the loss on 10 days use of the car.

2010 Cadillac Srx the hood release latch is located adjacent to the pad for the left foot. The foot if moved can pop the hood. This happened four times once at 65 mph sent emails to Cadillac no answer.

Latch system on 2005 Cadillac Srx cannot be used with car seats. . . . The latches are too high up to allow for proper installation and too far away. Baby car seat can only be placed in the middle of the car but you must attempt to find (neither local dealer nor Cadillac USA had any idea about how to do this, by the way) a special "option" accessory, a nylon "x" strap to strap in and hold in place the rear seat center console that, as its own manual points out, must be used if you place the car seat in the middle and you can't use the latch bc of the side impact air bag in the rear that cannot be turned off. Note, the accessory can be purchased through the dealership, even though crest Cadillac in syracuse NY said otherwise.
