2011 Cadillac Srx has extensive banging noise in rear of vehicle. Dealer says
noise is due to gas tank "slosh" and gm engingeers are at work on the

The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Srx. In December of 2008, the contact heard a loud metal noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. The failure occurred while driving 30 mph. He took the vehicle to the dealer several times and they discovered that the rear differential traction control system failed. The dealer replaced the rear differential traction control system on March 11, 2009. Two days later, the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the differential system was giving incorrect signals. The vehicle is currently at the dealer. A report was filed with the manufacturer and they stated that they would call the dealer
the consumer also stated there was a problem with the gas guage. It was discovered that the siphon jet punp was clogged which was causing it to shut off. There was also a brake problem. Updated 04/16/09.
