In Nov 2021 we had the recommended recall repairs done at a Cadillac dealership which replaced the rear toe links with a non-adjustable bar. 2 months later we installed new tires at big o tires but they were unable to perform a rear alignment due to the stationary toe bar. We went back to the Cadillac dealership days later but were assured the alignment was fine. Just over one year later (approx 15k miles driven) we have significant wear on our inner tires. Last week we had big o run an expressalign report and the rear tires have severe negative values. The value even with the toe bar should be +0. 020. I contacted hunter machine alignment and they confirmed our concerns. They said Cadillac solve this problem immediately. At this time Cadillac is only agreeing to inspecting the installation of the recall repair however this does not resolve the safety concerns with this vehicle. Why would a stationary bar be installed if the customer would not be able to get their wheels properly aligned? this recall repair seem to have increased the safety and reliability of this vehicle further. . I received a recall from gm as to the toe links in my vehicle. On November 4th it went into the dealership to have the parts replaced and the following morning my car lost control when something happened between the tires and the steering which caused my car to swerve all over the road, lose control, flip and go into a ditch. There were 3 warning lights on, abs, traction, and stabilitrak. The car has not yet been inspected but will be. Thank god it happened around 5:30 a. M. When there were not a lot of cars out yet on the highway.
2011cadillac Srx owner. Car has know water issue that collected inside car at the time of rain ruining the tailgate module. Since that time I have had all of the warning lights as indicated in the recall of August 2021. Stabilitrak service, slippery roads, shut off engine now etc. I have been waiting for the recall part to be produced since August and have been without a vehicle. I contacted arrowhead Cadillac a few weeks ago and learned part not in production. It is going on 60 days of me having a vehicle that I can not sell or trade or use. I contacted the main Cadillac customer service and was informed that I could rent a car on my own and submit request for payment months from now- or I could take the car in to have the "bolt tightened" (recall bolt that I have symptoms listed in recall to not drive) . I informed that both of these solutions are a no go for me- especially the one suggesting I have the bolt tightened- at the risk of me and my family's lives. The csr recommended that I have the Srx towed to local dealership. I said I would and it can sit there- not having it towed back and forth. I contacted the arrowhead dealership in arizona and agreed to have the car towed for evaluation, and would be stored at the location. With no time frame of when I will have a working vehicle. I later decided to look at cars on the lot since I was planning on purchasing a car next year. I contacted arrowhead sales and explained- they said would consider giving me a trade in of $ 3-4,000 and no vehicle deal although. The car can be should at $8,000 and from the law that I can determine if the dealership is unable to provide a repair in a timely manner that they would need to provide replacement at full value. I am a person that owns a car that is inoperable in a timely manner. I feel that Cadillac suggesting I have the bad part tightened- and then not compensating me for the re cost or cost of the vehicle is a complaint worth reporting.
I received a recall notice for a safety issue with my Cadillac Srx 2011. Recall #n212340980 regarding the real toe link. My vehicle is already showing signs of this issue and has been for over 2 years. Cadillac is not prepared to handle this issue. I called to make an appointment and was told they do not have the parts yet to fix the issue. Not to drive my car for safety reasons. I do not have access to another car, they cannot offer a loaner vehicle or a rental, so they so. I have doctors appointments, I need to use my vehicle. I am awaiting a reply from the dealership as to when the parts will be available, in the meantime I have to pray my car does not fall apart.
The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and making turns the wheels were pulling and not feeling normal. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21v473000 (suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called the local dealer who stated that the parts were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered a loaner vehicle or a credit towards another vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. The VIN was incomplete.

While driving on the highway my car suddenly went sideways five times. I had no control over my vehicle and luckily did not hit another vehicle. Once I was safely on the shoulder, I saw that my rear driverside wheel was sticking out. I had it towed to the dealership and then found out that there was a recall on the rear toe end link adjuster. They kept my car for weeks and kept sending me assessments of damage and assuring me it would be good as new when returned. After I declined their offer to fix my front struts for about $4,000 they said it was ready, but still needed to be aligned. I drove it home and immediately called bc it was not fixed and swayed dangerously on the road. They said bring it Monday (this was a Friday) it sat in my driveway then I noticed all the oil that leaked. I took it back (couple more weeks) they said oil changed (cost to them) leak caused by gasket not sealed properly. Also the washer fluid kept just pouring out and they had to fix that which they said was my fault but I'd never had trouble before. Then they said my car was ready and they had fixed the recall by making the adjuster non adjustable. My car still swayed all over the road and now makes a loud clanking noise in the front. After a month my rear tires both on the inside of the tire closest together are wore out showing wires. I paid for two used tired. Two weeks later it's happening again. Another shop checks the tires and is amazed that I made it to have him check the tires because the toe link but was so loose that my wheel was about to fall off again! he tightened the nut that is undoubtedly adjustable. My tires are now wearing out again and I've yet to receive any news on how to get the national recall fixed. No concern for safety at all.
I received a notice 21v473 from the NHTSA, via an email and a written letter nearly 90 days ago. Gm dealers are stating they do not have the parts to repair this safety recall notice. How long do owners of these unsafe vehicles have to wait for these parts to be manufactured? NHTSA should be imposing some kind of daily fines on gm for these delay tactics. Am I suppose to not drive this vehicle because it is not safe to be on the road? gm is just stalling and using this delay tactic because they know this is going to cost them millions of dollars to correct these flaws. The owners of these vehicles are being punished by not making these repairs in a timely manner. Nhtsa should put the pressure on gm to correct this malfunction in a more rapid manner by fining gm on a daily basis then maybe they will move off their duffs!.
The chrome wheels on this vehicle, which are an expensive option, are pitting and rusting. Neither Cadillac dealers or Cadillac service are willing to honor the corrosion warranty for this problem.

4 Mar 2021 passenger side front wheel bearing failed while returning home from anniversary trip with 37,733 miles on our Srx. Dealer stated that Srx was out of warranty due to time after purchase. 5 July 2021 passenger side rear wheel bearing failed while returning home from family trip with 40,003 miles on our Srx. Called Cadillac customer care and received a case number. Immediately received an email stating that she was my customer advocate and would get back to me within 3 working days (email is attached). No one has ever contacted me. I have contacted ccc on four different occasions with a promise every time that someone would get back to me within 48-72 hours. No response. I have not been discourteous to any of the customer care personnel and therefore, have no idea of why they do not respond to me, even if it was a denial. I get the impression that this problem may be greater than they want to acknowledge and they are hoping that I will just go away. I will not, this is more about principal at this point than money. Can you provide me guidance on what to do next, or can you assist in obtaining a response to my case?.
A few months ago I started noticing a loud noise coming from the rear of my vehicle. Then my service traction control light, service stabilitrak light, service rear axle light, the stabilitrak malfunction indicator lamp all come on my display screen. I took my tires to have them rotated and the rear tires were unevenly worn I was told. The other thing that is happening is that my steering wheel does not stay going straight, it veers off to the right.
The headlights have been getting more dim causing safety issues at night forcing me to use the high beams to much and gm tried to force owners to pay to fix $1700 estimate out pocket with the hope & prayer they would reimburse through a third party that has been a nightmare as documented on:: https://gmauthority. Com/blog/2020/03/2010-2015-Cadillac-srx-owners-still-battling-with-headlight-problems/comment-page-5/#comment-1001328 and https://cadillacsociety. Com/2020/03/10/owners-continue-to-struggle-with-Cadillac-srx-headlights/ I had more than one incident that shows my car could cause injury based on making mistakes for lack of visibility. This is a death waiting to happen and gm is barely going through the motions to make sure they are not ignoring it but blowing it off in many ways suppressing it in many ways . The other problems with the wheel bearings and suspension are scary when you hear the noises and I think more scary when you ask for an estimate which I will put off deciding to take a chance with an area of the car that can truly cause death if the past means anything. I am going to mention the problem with the defective que system that they are clearly trying to deny but did pay 90% of my $1000 repair without taking blame and of course this is not a real safety concern but worth describing because it shows a clear pattern of suppression and avoidance to recall a clearly defective part of a vehicle . Thank you for your time and consideration.
Ref: NHTSA campaign #: 14v571000 - my VIN does not come up as affected by this recall. However, on 2/10/2020, driving 35 mph on town streets, the car was a little different to control (almost 'lighter'). After my stop, I restarted the car, turned a corner and found it nearly impossible to stay in my own lane. Even after slowing to 20 mph and fighting to control the car, it felt like the rear of my car was dragging me in to the right lane after parking, I noticed my rear passenger side tire was at an angle of about 30-45 degrees from the rest of the car. I had the car towed to my repair garage. They showed us the toe nut (jam nut?) under the rear suspension , had approximately 1/2" before it could came off completely. Before agreeing to the repairs we called the local Cadillac dealership. They did not ask for a VIN, but informed us that the "recall had been closed" for this item so we were on our own for repairs.
Car veered to the right into the guardrail then loss of control of steering, car spun around twice and landed in opposite guardrail facing traffic with left rear tire facing away from the car. We were driving at the time on a highway.
We are having issues with the low beam head lamps. They are not safe!! we have contacted the dealer on several occasions for help, only to get a "it's not our problem" response. Gm is surely aware, as a search for help with the issue pops up many complaints and possible class action law suits currently in the works. What brings me here now is, my wife recently done some serious damage to the car and minor personal injury when she hit an object in the road that could have and should have been avoided if she could have seen it!! we are just thankful this was not a person. I would gladly testify that this could actually be a possibility if something is not done with these lights. We were told we could replace with the same light, at our cost (appx. $1500. 00) which I'm sure would soon have the same problem. Which should not be a problem at all with a two year old $50,000. 00 car. Please help us and all the others with correcting this, before something really bad or deadly happens, if it hasn't already. We have talked to several friends in our home town with the same car with the same problem.
This car has a failure in the orings around the headlights causing them to fill with water and make visibility low. There is also a failure in the backup camera it seems almost all owners have to replace it after only a few years. There is also a failure in the stability sensor from the wheel bearing having a faulty bearing causing you to lose power while driving and very dangerous, only have issued a service bulletin #pic5428g.
Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that when driving approximately 15-30 mph the vehicle's anti-lock brake system started to hesitate when attempting to stop causing the vehicle to have a pulsing sensation when stopping. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership (brogan Cadillac of totowa located at 112 route 46 east, totowa, NJ 07512 phone number: 973-200-6342)who informed the contact that vehicle's collector ring and the hub needed to be cleaned. The contact was informed that the failure related to a manufacturer communication, NHTSA id number: 10080901 (service brakes, air, service brakes, hydraulic, traction control system, service brakes, electric). The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet, however, the vehicle was awaiting repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and offered to contribute to cost of the repair. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000. Gl.
The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac Srx. While driving 50 mph, the rear driver side wheel shifted out of control. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle to the road shoulder. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who found that the rear driver side wheel toe link adjuster separated, which caused the wheel to be unbalanced. The rear driver side toe link was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. An unknown dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was previously repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 14v571000 (suspension) in 2014 by the previous owner; however, the repair did not correct the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.
My break going all the way dow when I have a bump on the streets I bring to Cadillac dealer and they say everything is ok I can drive my car but gm has not recall for this safety issue.

On may 12, 2018, we were driving west on maryland interstate 68 through the mountains. We were driving downward on one of the many mountains and I noticed a wobble coming from the front passenger wheel. I began to worry and slowed down from 70 mph to 50 mph. As I approached the bottom of the mountain there was a curve to the left. All of the sudden we lost control like we were on ice. We turned 360 drgrees and slammed into the right berm guard rail and then proceeded to travel back across the two land highway and hit the left median guardrail and came to a stop. There were three of us in the car and fortunately only minor injuries. We observed that the axle at the front passenger side wheel had sheered off. I couldn't believe it! also. The side air bags did not deploy when the passenger side slammed into the guard rail.
Lower front drivers ball joint failed. Causing serious accident at highway speed.
The bearings on two of the tires the emissions is giving me trouble I took it to a mechanic who changed everything car will not pass inspection.
My 05 Cadillac Srx have a serious safety issue in the frame where as a metal pice on left and right front have rotted all the way through. I have pictures of the problem. I need someone to help me because no car should have this proble with only 80 thousand miles on it. How can I send the picture to.

My 2015 Cadillac Srx wheel cladding, hub caps, are coming off. Took to dealer, hendrick Cadillac norfolk va. , because the cladding was rattaling and starting to come of the wheel. They said that the wheels were not covered by the manufactures warranty. When the cladding, hub caps, were manufactured the adhisive was not applied right and are seperating from the alloy wheels. They could possibly seperate from the wheel and cause an accident or hurt sombody.
My Srx has whining noise in the front drivers side front wheel when driving.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Cadillac Srx equipped with michelin tires, tire line:latitude tour hp, tire size: 235/65/18. The contact stated that was having tires rotated and the technician suggested to have tires inspected by a qualified michelin technician. The vehicle was taken to the a michelin dealer where it was diagnosed that all four tires showed signs of rot and crack in treads. The tires were not replaced. The manufacture was notified of the failure. The failure mileage of the tire and the vehicle was 21,814. The dot number was not available. Aa.
What sounded like a power steering issue turned out to be a big problem with the left front hub assembly. Only if I made a hard turn would the car sound like there was grinding. I did not need to be braking for the sound to occur. Soft turns did not result in the grinding noise. Thinking that it might be the brakes, we took it to a pep boys service station. The mechanic immediately called us back to show us "a bigger problem than we thought". Of the three hub assembly bolts, one was missing and the other two were loose and on their way to falling out. The mechanic asked if we had had any front end work done. We had not. We suspect the bolts were not installed correctly when the car was made and over time the bolts had worked their way loose to the point that the rotor had obvious play, causing the grinding noise. I shudder to think what could have happened and consider myself very lucky that I didn't lose the wheel off of the car, especially since I was on the highway only the day before. We consider this episode to be a near-miss safety issue.
The contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Srx. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle vibrated, the wheels seized, and the electronic stability control warning light illuminated. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the stability sensor at the end of the steering column and a sensor in the rear passenger side wheel needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 146,152.

3 of the 4 wheel bearing/hubs are bad. Need to replace three. Thought it was tires, but it is the wheel bearings. I have 114,000 miles on the vehicle and no power train warranty now. Has been like this for 50,000 miles and thought it was the tires I bought because it started right after new tires install.
2011 Cadillac Srx with 20,000 miles on it had the entire wheel hub come apart. Bolts fell out and the remaining bolts were all loosened. This problem ruined the caliper and brakes. I was lucky that I was not driving on the highway very often as I could have had a very serious crash.
While driving at a very slow speed the car tracking system light comes on and the car lost the ability to accelerate. I was in the medium of a very busy highway and almost had an accident because the more I push on the accelerator the car would not go any faster. This is very dangerous and I am almost afraid to drive my vehicle. I have taken it to the shop for this problem and they had no idea why this was happening. I have to be very careful when at a stop sign getting ready to take off because I don't know if the car will accelerate or not. This has been happening for a long time and I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

I pulled out of a parking spot and then suddenly my car jolted to a stop. I had heard a snapping noise and the car wouldn't move forward or backwards. I looked at my tire only to find it was bowed in towards my car instead of away from it since the wheel should have been turned away from the car. Upon further review the tire rod had snapped. If the tire rod could easily snap as I was simply pulling out of a parking spot then it could have easily snapped while on the highway which would have resulted in injuries to myself and my child.
I had a blow out on the ohio turnpike. It was at that time I first came to know Cadillac no longer provided spare tires as standard equipment. There is a pump included which is useless in the case of a blow out. The issue is how can Cadillac be allowed to sell cars with out spare tires. It is obviously a safety device that should be mandatory.
