Manufacture produced this car filling the inside of the unibody rails with an absorbent foam. These rails also have manufactured holes allowing water to enter the rails. The water is then absorbed in the foam and through age it has cause the unibody rails to rot from the inside out. This is the main structure of the car. I also have a 2007 Cadillac Sts with 85k where this is starting to become present and an 2005 Cadillac srx 130k where this already happened and had to spend thousands in repairs. I understand with age comes rust however this is a manufacture defect. There is no reason for these cars main structure to of been filled with foam causing the "frame" to rot specifically where the engine cradle bolts to the body structure. Had this addressed now I could of been driving the car and had the engine subframe rip from the unibody.

Passenger side headlamp failed after condensation build up in the headlight assembly. I have the hid headlamps and changed the bulbs checked all the fuses and relays but it still will not work consistently. I took it to the dealer and was told the assembly needed to be changed and it was not covered as because the car is out of warranty at 53000 miles. The cost is $1695 they said the light failed because the seal is bad and this allowed condensation to build up. I checked around and noticed that this is an ongoing problem for Cadillac srx 2010 model year and new owners. Since the problem is so wide spread it seems more like an engineering defect that should be covered either by a recall or an extension in the warranty. Seems unfair to make the consumer have to pay for this.

I was at a complete stop. I started going up the driveway, I felt the car lurch foreward. I thought I was slamming on the break, but hit the gas instead. The car crashed into the house moving the concrete block. The airbags did not deploy. I broke my neck at c4 and c5. I have seen 3 reports on this site detailing the same. All these cars were 2007 Cadillac Sts. With all the problems with gm and airbags, could this be related?.

I was driving north on I-95 in virginia when I heard a loud pop and suddenly realized that the glass part of my sunroof had torn away completely. Luckily no one was behind me at the time. The sealant that holds the glass in place had failed. The sunroof was closed at the time this happened. This is a serious problem.
