While driving with cruise control activated, it malfunctioned causing vehicle to unexpectedly accelerate to 90 mph, cause unknown. Switch seems to be faulty on numerous occasions cruise control will not engage.

Letter on behalf of constituent regarding the problem of rapid deceleration when the radar controlled cruise control is engaged. The consumer stated the vehicle suddenly disengages and it immediately slows down.
