Two problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states that after having both the driver and passenger side seatbelts replaced due to a recall, they now pin passenger to sit. The new seatbelts does not allow either the driver or passenger to move.
Passenger's seat belt will lock up, and will not extend for proper operation. Consumer had dealership repair this defect when he went in for a recall notice he received on brakes. Consumer stated that belt that replaced the previous belt still did not operate properly, and will stick in one position. Also, concerned that serial numbers on two passenger numbers do not match.
