Three problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When applying brakes there was no braking ability present on right rear tire, which caused longer braking distance. Dlr says it is due to right rear calipers corroding and rotors and pads needed to be replaced.
While applying brakes vehicle was coming to a stop and suddenly without warning, brake pedal forced foot up, and vehicle began to accelerate. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
Consumer states that the brake hoses are pulled tight when the wheels are turned to the maximum sides.
