One problem related to front seat recliner has been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
On two separate occasions driver's seat bracket broke from the vehicle and caused the seat to move while driving 35 mph. On the first occasion the problem was repaired by the dealer. On the second occasion dealer will repair problem at consumer's expense. The seat bracket failed allowing the seat to pivot forward throwing the consumer into the steering wheel.
