Two problems related to differential unit have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Dt the dealership came on June 27th, 2005. The differential that drives the wheels in the back on the van made a noise. Took vehicle to the dealer 5 or 6 times, they rebuilt it twice, and kept saying it was alright to drive. My wife was driving , and it locked up. The vehicle is currently at the dealership.
While making a turn rear end locked up. This caused the vehicle to pull hard, skid, and come to an abrupt halt. This problem was due to rear differential failure.
