One problem related to side/window air bag has been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving about 30-40 mph, had "t"-boned another vehicle, and driver's side airbag did not deploy. Also, caused motor to be pushed back about 5 inches. Contacted dealer, and informed consumer vehicle was not designed for airbag to go off on frontal impact. Please add VIN.
