One problem related to air brake has been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes are soft and brake pedal travels almost to the floor when is pushed requiring a substantial amount of foot pressure to get the vehicle to stop in a timely manner and distance. Vehicle has a new brake master cylinder, new brake pads, new rotors, and new brake fluid. Chevrolet customer service was called and they stated the VIN has not been recalled for service brake failures for the hydro-boost relief valve recall (id # 04v045000) or faulty corroded brake lines.
