My car is old but it has been running fine, and I keep up with regular maintenance and oil change appointments. I came out of walmart after buying groceries and when I tried to start the car it sounded like it was trying to turn over, but it wouldn't actually start. After 30 minutes of sitting in the car trying to get it to start it finally started. I took the car to my regular mechanic and they could not find anything wrong with it. They cleaned the battery cables in hopes of relieving the problem. Now a week later it did it again 2 times in the same day.

My car has only 50,400 miles-its a 2009, yesterday while driving I felt a jolting in the rear end of the truck and it continued each time I stopped and started driving again. I took it to my mechanic who informed me it was a transmission shifting problem. I went on line and discovered that this issue has been related to other silverado trucks as a recall due to a shift cable adjuster problem which can lead to a roll away.

While driving down busy road, for no reason engine power was suddenly reduced which could have resulted in a serious accident. This has happened numerous times. Called gm. No recalls. This appears to be an inherent problem, not wear and tear. This needs to be addressed ASAP.

On multiple occasions the vehicle has lost power at highway speed and the engine dies. After a few attempts the engine restarts and operates normally for an unpredictable interval. This has happened at least 10 times. The authorized dealer and other mechanic shops have not been able to diagnose the reason for the power failure as they have not been able to cause it to duplicate failure when they have it. This sudden unexpected condition is very dangerous when it occurs and renders the vehicle unusable for anything other than short usage.
Reduced engine power. This has been occurring off and on for about 9 months, have taken it to dealer multiple times and replaced everything that was said would fix the problem. The problem still occurs even after replacing: accelerator and receiver on throttle body as well as checking wiring harness for issues. Essentially, the vehicle will lose the function of the accelerator without warning at any given time during the use of the vehicle. The dealer has told me that they don't have any idea why it still is having this issue. . . The other day the vehicle was being driven and reduced engine power mode set in and at the same time the power steering went out. Thought the power steering going out at the same time was a one time deal but it happened again the very next day. The vehicle had this issue on the highway the other day and nearly caused an accident. It is shocking that there are not thousands of complaints with this same issue, if you look up forums on this topic there are over 200,000 threads on this very issues. There are thousands of forum complaints about reduced engine power and how people have spent $1000 plus at the dealer and the issue still persists. The drive by wire functionality instead of using a throttle cable seems to be having issues that even gm doesn't have an answer for. Would appreciate any looking into on this subject.
A truck went tho a red light as I was under the light heading east and the other vehicle was at stop light and for unknown reason it took off hitting the front of my right fender and putting me into a spin. At first I didn't realize what happened. The my van stopped. The police asked if I was ok. I said no. I got hit in the face and right arm by the 2 air bags in front. I was the only person in the van. The air bags were broke open. Never had accident before were air bag went off. Did not know how they were supposed to look. Till I seen on the tv recalls. And they are not supposed to break open. The jell behind my right eye split. I have to see a dr. Every 6 months now to check pressure in eye for glaucoma now.

Reduced engine power generic code p2135.
The vehicle is a 2004 gm Chevrolet k1500 z71 extend cab 4x4. Anti lock brakes were defective. When consumer applied pressure to the abs they did not hold. On 2-11-05 he took vehicle to the dealer to be repaired, and they did nothing to fix the issue. While driving on 6-23/24-05 the abs did not hold , causing consumer's vehicle to lightly bump another vehicle. When consumer contacted the manufacturer they told him to take it to city Chevrolet. He took it to them on 7-5-05 ,and he still has not gotten it back yet. Consumer found that there was a recall in November . 2004 in canada concerning corrosion in the abs brakes. The vehicle he owned was manufactured by general motors in canada ltd. . There is a special order part that was not immediately available in dealer inventory for the inoperative brakes. Vehicle downshifts at highway speeds to 2nd gear. Engine surges while driving and the brake pedal is hard to push down and doesn't stop well.
Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for repairs. After picking the vehicle up from the dealership vehicle caught on fire at approximately 10:00 am, 2 days later. Consumer contacted the manufacturer and the dealer, and was told that the cause of the fire was undetermined, and that there was nothing that the manufacturer was libel for which could have caused the fire.
